How Does One Become a Rasta?

Wht about the spiritual side?
The growing dreads represents many things like looking like the mane of The lion of Juda amongst other things.

So basically its like all these lil dudes here claiming they GD or anything folks related, Jus wake up one day and say oh well I guess today I'll be a Rasta or something.

Bro do not join Rastafarians.

Air of rastas know they Israelites yet fall into that shot.

They follow the Bible but are off into idol worship.

They believe the second coming of Christ already happend.

They worship this Ethiopian guy.

Same way mormons worship Joseph Smith and not Jesus Esdras worship this Ethiopian.

Will post his name in a min

smoke weed, fuck white women, worship Haille Sellasie I as God, only order large fries at McDonalds

Actually it would be hInside. The super-Rasta beleive in I-tuality and emphasize the 'I' in words or replace entire parts of word with 'I'.

You know why they are big on the letter "I" because of the confusion with their Roman alphabet. So instead of reading Haile Selassie I as Haile Selassies The 1st. They read it as Haile Selassie "The letter I"

:smh: my people

Pronounce words that start with i with a h sound . Ex: inside sounds like "hinside".

And in the same spirit remove the letter "H" from words that start with "H" so home becomes 'ome, him becomes 'im, her becomes 'er , and so on and so on....

That's just the way it looks. There's no confusion it's just I-dentifying Haile Selassie within themselves. I-tuality is the I-n-I that comes from knowing one's true self in simple terms.

Check out "Rasta and Resistance" by Horace Campbell for more info. Mi gone bout mi way.

Respect everything in the universe. Raise your vibes by being positive and promote love for everything. Basically live opposite of what the western world has thought you.

Being rasta is not a religion to everyone. Some people are non Christian and consider themselves Rasta

You don't "become" a Rasta.

Americans are addicted to boxes

:smh::smh::smh:

Also wikipedia is NOT a reliable source of info pertaining to African related subjects

:smh::smh::smh:

You don't haffi dread to be rasta
This is not a dreadlocks thing
Devine conception of the heart

[VERSE 1:]
Oh it's a life of a livity
Lived by the Fathers of our histoty
Uphold the anciency and prophecy
Trust in the powers of the Trinity(yeah)
Got to believe in His Majesty
Oh yes, His lineage and Devinity
The first step is sovereignty
Know one's self through royalty (yeah-yea

In essence of rasta is not in your hair it is within your mind and spirit.

Now that Haile Selassie is dead, isn't the religion dead? Wasn't it based on him being god on eatrh? Well, he ain't here no more.

1. Rastafarian is not a religion

2. It wasn't based on HIM Haile Selassie being god on earth

There have been numerous attempts by white people to document rastafari.

They promote too much confusion with their need for classifications.

Too many boxes man

Spirit is livity.

Plato removed man from his universe and set the stage for western civilization thinking.

Hence you have people trying to put the original peoples' into western civilization boxes

:smh::smh::smh:

I understand that some of ya'll are Christians/Muslims or don't believe in a higher power at all, but at least be respectful of spiritual views that may be different from your own. :cool:

Do more research than ask the board.

Read the old testament and make your decision. Also talk to some older and younger rastas about the faith.

Good Luck
