All I know it depends on the food. Carbohydrates (starches and sugars) digest most quickly, protein next and fats last. A typical mixed meal is mostly digested and absorbed in 3-4 hours. Yet, residue may remain for up to 6-8 hours if theres is no following meal. After that the GI tract has movements (migrating motor complexes) to clean out the material to prevent bacterial growth. If the next meal follows sooner another type of movement, peristalsis, usually cleans the intestine out.

Any more Info........

I will say this anyone on here who is not regular needs to see a doctor asap. I've heard that some people only shit 3-4 times out of a one week period. That can't be healthy:smh:.

yeah, if you eat the right stuff you supposed to shit after every meal.

I work in the mental health care field and there's sure alot of DOCUSATE SODIUM (stool softener) and METAMUCIL (fiber) usage.

People often request prune juice ... but we remind them to DRINK MORE WATER / EAT MORE FRUIT / EAT MORE BRAN AND FIBER ...

As far as how long food stays in your stomach? Tough to say ...

that sounds like diarrhea

nah man, good solid shit. I been trying to go raw and without the meat its even smooth and more compacted(no straining):lol:

edit: and not RIGHT AFTER every meal, a few hours after give or take a couple

Beef, I understand, takes up to three days to digest and leave the body. In most people there is a certain amount that's permanantly in the body never to digest.

A dump should be taken once a day, at least. Usually in the morning. Or at work with a newspaper in hand.

bro we know you are a trainer and shit. asking this type of question here is a waste of time. just a bunch of little kids trying to say something to get a laugh out of another little kid. i would think that fiber would help get rid of matter faster, but i'm not certified.

Drink a bottle of Magnesium Citrate. It costs about $1 a Wal-Mart and is all natural. I used to use it to drop a few pounds before a Navy weigh-in. Drink the entire bottle at once when you first wake up, drink a bottle or water after, and let it work. You'll shit for the next 2 days and completely clean out your system. You'll lose 5 - 10 pounds of water weight and undigested food alone. You're supposed to use it once a month to prevent colon cancer.

:cool:A lot of people don't even know about this product due to its lack of branding and its generic looking bottle; however, if you've ever visited a gastroenterologist, this is what they'll recommend as a stool softener.......but, is it safe to drink twice a week?

I remember when i was younger I always wondered why the fuck my dog was always shitting... once u fed him couple hours later the yard was laced in shit. Come to find out he didn't have a problem; we humans did.

So, I wonder, what is the correct answer?

I looked up this a few weeks ago (http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/yrdd/), but still will like to know how much can the average stomach hold at once?

It does not make sense in eating too much food because you think it will feel you up. The rest will be excreted or turn into fat.

Better question, What good foods or drinks will help you go to the bathroom (clean you out)....Thx for all the feedback

- Lots and lots of WATER
- GREEN TEA
- FIBER
- BRAN
- DARK LEAFY GREENS / VEGETABLES

Depends on ur metabolism. When u have a high metabolism, food is pressed quickly.

yeah
everyone is different when it coems to digesting food.

if you wanna see how fast your body digest food, do the corn test. swallow a few pieces of whole corn kernels and just examine your shit once it hits the toliet bowl. the corn will come out whole...so it'll be easy to spot.

...and im not joking.
Learn about your body and youl live a longer healthier life.

btw....eat more fiber!

:puke: She is sicker than a mofo. On a side note bad food leaves also leaves the body through the skin:puke::puke:. Mofos with bad acne could get rid of the acne if they modified their diet with more healthy choices. Fried foods is a big contributer to acne.
