Cream-edged Tiger Beetle
Eunota circumpicta johnsonii -- male
In June 2017 this species was very common on the salt flats at Quirvira NWR and we found several of the blue morphs. In July 2018 we only found about 10-15 beetles and were fortunate to find 2 of the blue morphs. This beauty and another very dark blue individual with some brown leaching on one side of the cream margin.
Captured under a cloudy sky.
