I voted today at the Flatbush YMCA. I have an issue. Why the fuck DON'T you want people to actually show you state issued i.d. if they have it and not just voter registration card? No stone should be left un-turned so as to undermine claims of election fraud.

Current reports state that it is now surging, and down only compared to the 2020 presidential race, the pandemic. Guess we'll see how all this goes down soon enough.

Early vote totals since 2012

While 2020 was an outlier, in-person early vote and mail-in vote counts have been increasing in recent elections.

2012 - 46.2 M
2016 - 50.1 M
2020 - 101.3 M
2024 - 58.4 M

Notes: Data for the 2024 count, as of Oct. 31.

I wonder if there will be any surprise, state wins for team blue?

I checked realclearpolitics site. And there's a few states close to flipping blue. If the data is real

It creates a slippery slope. If a form of identification is not required, then asking for it creates the idea that it is required in some people's minds and might lead to some confusion. it could also be viewed as a form of influence or intimidation. In fact, the entire idea of having to produce ID was in and of itself layered around racists gatekeeping the polls.

But to go back a step further, the main reason is that not everyone has a state issued ID. If that were a requirement of being a resident of a state and was also fully facilitated by the states themselves, there'd be less of an issue. As it is, certain groups (and we know who) make it difficult and, in some cases, impossible to acquire these types of IDs. So it would create an unfair burden on the voter.

That's also ignoring that cases of voter fraud are actually not remotely as large as people try to make them out to be. It's hard enough to get registered voters to come out and vote on a regular basis, let alone have them waste time trying to impersonate someone else (or worse).

I was going to vote on election Day, but I think I'm going to vote on Monday. I want to give myself a great day just in case some shit happens

My moms a little paranoid about going out to vote. She said she heard a story about The KKK. Supposedly is going to be out terrorizing people on election day. I dont give a fuck. Im voting on election day. But im thinking about leaving work early though. Just in case, cac wanna crack.
