The south has some of the best musicians. I dont know where your nephew is from, but in new orleans playing in bands isn't a white/lame thing. You would see a dude with a mouth full of golds on a t-pet or any other instrument. People say that the south doesn't have talent, however you would be surprised by how many recent southern producers/artists (including t pain) can play ACTUAL instruments and not just know how to sample someone else's music.
