I like the Saturn Vue-think it's a good idea to buy new with Saturn going under?

I hear you. I'm just thinking about it really. That's why I was attracted to the Saturn, because I figured I might be able to get a better deal on a new car since they are going under. I'm not trying to have some huge car note.

If your credit is fine, see if they have those .9% rates and try and stay in a very comfortable payment range not to exceed 60 months or even 48 months.

Why do you think I should? I'm looking for opinions!

Very simple because the company is closing down. What do you think the resale value of that car will be? Basically worth pennies. Folks with good sense don't want a Saturn. Some of my family owns those cars and I've never been impressed.

Why should she care about resale? . She drives a car until it falls apart. Resale is not an issue for her. Saturn has shut down, but GM is around to honor the warranty with Govt assistance too.

It will be the perfect cheap new car to buy since they are giving them away, I am sure.

I think I am perfectly aware of that. But since production was stopped because of the bankruptcy, GM would be stupid to not re-affirm that obligation under the bankruptcy if they want to stay in business . So, I am sure that they did. Besides, I think the Govt is offering some type of warranty program to address this problem.
You're doing alot of assuming there bro. Then again, fuck it. It aint your money.

Reminds me of those idiots who got fucked in the housing debable. Instead of buying what they needed or could afford and live in as a long term residential HOME; Fools were more worried about resale, refi, equity, future market value, and other mythical bullshit.

Man if you're buying this car, hell ANY brand new car, thinking about resale value--- You're doing it wrong!!

Lol. But really the spare part business is more profitable than car sales. So I am certain that they agreed to supply spare parts for ten or more years.
