I really think they fucked up when they skipped ahead ...

they should have done T4 from the bunker after all the bombs feel

advance the story from there ...

they never showed him becoming John Conner of the future

and i think tht was a big mis-step and i dont think its too late..

this is in my top 3 fave franchises ...i hope they try one more time n give us tht story coming out the bunker ...

T3 worked for me, mainly because like it says, it was the inevitable conclusion to that part of the storyline.

Although I disagree that they should have moved forward slowly. Although time skipping didn't really help, either. The future John Conner will always be a failure, because he can never live up to the actual expectations we've set in our heads. And that's mainly because no writer will ever just write him as that. They will always try to make him misunderstood or lacking faith in himself, because "that's a better story".

To me, John Conner works best as an idea, a Superman that you never see, because even Superman isn't Superman. He's the thing that destroys the machines, and meeting that John Conner would be the definitive end to the story.

I loved the ending and I liked how the TX went after his generals since he was off the grid. It had potential but feel a little flat at times.

They ruined the franchise by attempting to inject humor in what's supposed to be a serious dystopic action film. Moreover, it used too many similar action sequences from its predecessors.
The ending was that movie's saving grace —a well taught lesson in futility and inevitability. The future will play out its fate one way or another despite our many attempts to change its course.

The best Terminator 3 is Terminator The Sarah Connor Chronicles in my opinion. T3 was ok but just ok. Originally Linda Hamilton and Edward Furlong were supposed to be in T3. It could have been so much better smh.

My favorite terminator was the series on Fox
Thank you wish we could have gotten a tv move to wrap everything I would like to see these actors return again although they are too old to pick up where it left off they could still do the characters.

Genisys and Salvation does exist in my mind.
Dark Fate barely remembered but it's there.

Basically. Or more specifically, the few movies that show more than just a snippet of him do exactly what I mentioned. In Salvation, he's almost an outcast among the freedom fighters until he's basically all they have left to go with. And in Genisys, future Conner is this weird sage type character that still doesn't come off as a battle-hardened fighter, either. And after that... well, the less that's talked about, the better.

(I forget where, but I know I heard a rumor that John Conner wasn't even supposed to be featured heavily in Salvation. Supposedly, Christian Bale was supposed to play the cyborg, and some rando would show up as Conner in the third act. But Bale got really intrigued by Conner, and basically demanded a rewrite with more screen time and him in the role. Again, this was kinda a rumor, but it fits his MO.)
