I'm doing overtime at the job and went out for breakfast. On my way back, I saw a police car heading in my direction Dash I wasn't wearing my seatbelt but I was just about going the speed limit. For my Cleveland fam, I was in Independence on Rockside between Burger King and Applebee's.

I saw him turn into an apartment parking lot and turn around to follow me comma telling right behind me about 50 yards. I turned my cruise control on, and put my seatbelt on when I saw him turn around. I was only going about 37-38 in a 35 zone. I almost always use cruise control in the city for situations just like this

The cop followed me for about 2 miles. When I change blame comma using my turn signal of course, are prepared to turn on the street where my job is. He busted a u-turn and headed back in the direction he was originally going. Fuck ass cops

This experience wasn't shit, I've had worse. What are some experiences that you've had with cops profiling or following you for no goddamn reason?

So you just admitted to initially not having your seat belt on and going 37-38mph in with a 35mph speed limit.. And still didn't pull you over? Then you claiming you was profiled?

Not profiling, but building on probable cause. He knew you didn't have a seat belt on from the rip, he just ran your plates and the owner info to see if your registration was good and if the owner (most of the time the driver) had warrants. He actually gave you a pass on the seatbelt ticket.

immediately, make three right turns. If he still follows you, you have a harassment case afterwards.

A seat belt is a secondary charge. They can't pull you over for not having your seatbelt they can pull you over if they have something else. Plus my windows are tinted so he couldn't see if I had a seatbelt on anyway

And nobody is getting pulled over for being two miles over the speed limit

also, your past matters. lower income or those that had a not so clean past get pulled over WAY more often than others. Car you drive matters too. If you are young and flossing, their hate comes to surface. If you 40+ and driving a taurus, and have a clean record, they are not likely wasting their time on you.

Once you in that system for anything...

Those Independence pigs aren't going to follow you for 2 miles man. They run those plates quick as fuck these days. And why he stay 50 yards behind you? Cats get profiled all the time, but this might not be a case. Independence pigs are known for just writing traffic tickets, so they don't hesitate to throw the lights on.

Bruh no disrespect but I don't know who you think your talking too lmaoo

You can absolutely get pulled over and get a summons for not having a seatbelt on while driving... It's not a secondary charge it's a violation of the vehicle traffic law code in whatever state you reside in.. Oh so you admit you got tints? Another violation keep going we can be here all day as to way your profiling claim is bs

You only get hit with secondary charges on arrest lmaoo

Mother fucker I wasn't trying to get no God damn attention. When the dude followed me for two miles and shit I was a little spooked. I thought:

A: you couldn't get pulled over primarily for a seat belt ticket

B: I've never known anybody to get pulled over for being a couple miles over the speed limit except in a school zone

With everything that's going on in the world nowadays when he followed me for 2 miles I was a little scared

1) Wear your seat belt fastened always when driving
2) Keep your rear view mirror clean of hanging items(air fresheners, beads etc.)
3) Keep dashboard clean

Cops can pull you over for any of the above 3 reasons. The last two reasons they can claim obstructed views.

The cop in this scenario was just doing his job. Probably ran your tag and then left you alone when nothing came up

The cop followed him for two miles at 38 MPH. The means they followed him for roughly 4 minutes. It doesn't take them anywhere near that long to run a plate.

So you just admitted to initially not having your seat belt on and going 37-38mph in with a 35mph speed limit.. And still didn't pull you over? Then you claiming you was profiled?

Sure, they could pull you over for being 3 MPH over the limit, but why bother? They could have easily found a target going well above that within two city miles.

This was profiling plain and simple.

I once got profiled and ticketed for a lapsed registration in a parked car in Bayview, SF. I had just got off work at a factory job and went to my car. First thing I did was check my phone. Cop pulls up and flashes his lights. Car was a bucket soI had to start my engine to roll down the window. Not only did he write the ticket, but tried to get me on a DUI because I was sweating and breathing hard. I explained that I wasn't high, just got off working a very physical job a few minutes ago. He didn't want to believe me even though I was in the warehouse district SMH

And how old are you?

They can pull you over for not wearing a seatbelt...

Never heard of "Click it or ticket"?

(Asshole) Cops have the discretion to pull you over for anything, even going two miles over the speed limit.

You were not profiled. You were in the wrong and he had very legit reasons to pull you over. You're crying wolf here.

Thing is to know the law. Now, with that being said most Cops carry a chip so if you all loud and shit and disrespectful out the gate you will get that ticket. True story, was floating the hellcat coming down Cobb pkwy, had been dying to cut loose and slapped in manual. As soon as I pressed gas a state patrol was running selective and got me dead to rights. Lil pin headed white guy. I identify myself as former mil LEO , show him my badge and I told HIM that was my fault. He asked me verbatim, you telling me you were speeding? I said yep, that's on me. Told me to sit tight ran my ID for warrants came back with warning ticket. We bullshit talk for about 15 min, talk about the car and I move on. Was in Impala doing 90, couldnt get out of that one but dude reduced ticket. On at least 10 different occasions I was wrong, always speeding and got out of ticket by being nice and respectful. Man I got a heavy foot

Black man was followed by cop for 4 miles, hoping he did something wrong, and people think this is acceptable. Some even say it's 'his fault.'

It's amazing what we have been conditioned to think is acceptable. :smh:
