That's funny because two other people said (when things weren't looking to good) that because the Georgia only has one major city. That is why it is a red state and why it wasn't looking to good for Biden.

Here the thing. If you have 500 people in one location or spreadnout. It really doesn't matter in a statewide election. Because the votes will count the same regardless.

Are you from SC?

I dont think youre leaving room for how progressive major metro areas are vs conservative rural areas. SCs most progressive city... Isnt THAT progressive. When compared to ATL it may aswell be Klan headquarters. There was another member I was having this convo with in this thread. Columbia,(largest city in SC) is nothing more than a big college town that happens to be the state capital. Its not a liberal enclave like ATL is. So you dont have a concentrated liberal base to fan out from. Its a fact that you get more conservative the farther away from cities you get and honestly... There isnt a major city in SC. The entire state from Greenville, to Columbia, down to Charleston is no different than Alabama. Thats not to insult the folks in Bama, but dont let its close proximity to ATL and Charlotte give you the impression SC isnt exactly what it is. Its a rural state with a shitty education system and a good deal of the population there act like its still the 60s. Most of their young and educated leave. So youre left with, what youre left with.

People are focusing on Maricopa when they need to be looking at Pima AKA Tucson .... They are still counting in Pima county

It's like I posted earlier ... Everyone is talking about Maricopa but it's really Tucson that's offset any of trumps gains.

Not trying to toot my own horn.. but I've been on point so far. LOL

Random white guy: Yea i guess racism exists somewhere on the planet at some time.. i guess.

Van Jones: (tears in eyes*) You know, i just wanna take this time to thank you on behalf of myself, my kids, my family for your dignity and grace. You are proof that we are a united country despite our differences and that we are on the right track to a prosperous future for all and that equality is here! I love you.
Remember when he was considered "extremist" lol

There's nothing you could tell me that would make this make sense. In the last few days we've tallied over 100 million votes, yet it's taking this long to count 1 percent of one state??? Gtfohwtbs

Atl also has a large number of hispanics relatively large number of Asians, other immigrants...also large number of liberal Whites ...basically it was not a matter of if but when in terms of Atl having a large enough effect on the state to change its voting patterns...so its not just Black people alone....thats the major difference I see as a dude not from either state

Georgia hasn't updated yet... but they are supposed to update closer to 8pm central.

Literally right after I posted... we have an update

Biden gets 70% of these and it's a wrap for GA ... Biden takes it.

He could actually probably take it with 55% but I feel like 70% is the safe number for cushion purposes.

I'm from NC.

It matters because demographics are different per county. Five hundred people in a location build on each other versus 500 spread out that may not have the same motivation or influences.

Same day votes are usually entered electronically and a computer calculates those. Mail ballots you have to fill in the circle with the pen, they get fed in a machine by hand. Some states also have to check signatures and stuff. Plus you have GOP challengers trying to get every vote cast out.
