I completely understand what you are saying. However, there are some who believe that there is never a perfect time to demand change. There are many who do not care for republicans or democrats. Therefore, timing becomes somewhat irrelevant. Also, some would argue that before an election is the perfect time to present demands.
What does suck tho is the deliberate push of misinformation regarding his involvement and relationship to Trump. Cube has said numerous times that he does not support Trump nor is he voting for Trump. Yet democrats are going ham with the "Ice Cube is a Trump supporter" rhetoric when they know this is a flat out lie. And for what? Because he presented demands to both parties?? History will not look back favorably on this, I assure you.

Talk to your elders about this. Black folk didn't rock with X like we do now. Black christians, which was most black, folk hated him. They thought of his as the enemy and antithesis to MLK. This is a fact.

I was young when Cube emerged in the early 90's with those classic albums and seemed to be a somewhat educated, conscious, solid brother.
As I entered my teens I started to realize it was bullshit which he confirmed with his transformation in the mid-90's by jumping in the middle of the fake East-West war despite initially being aligned with East Coast cats following his NWA departure.

The Lincoln Project built a following with that "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" approach to this election but it will come back to haunt Democrats now that Trump is officially out.

You're comparing Cube to X and King who actually did shit and were on the front lines.
Cube waited until there were less than 2 months left in a national election to decide he's going to become a leader via Zoom calls and start making demands on behalf of us with some plan he came up with.
I can see you have a degree of respect for him but in reality his behavior and way he went about this is no different than Kanye with his entitlement.
Let's see in a year or so if Cube is still dedicated to and working on this before anointing him a leader.
I'm not sure about the overall effect of the Lincoln Project. It could have helped or could have hurt. It could have helped by keeping a few of the potty-trained republicans from voting. I think it's possible it helped the Dems by encouraging them, showing them it's possible to swing some votes even it it didn't. It's possible it helped Trump. Showed the base that the educated elite of the party was against Trump, further endearing him to them.
Crazy.
If the Democrats were smart they would be working to really form an alliance with the Lincoln Project behind the scenes which I think is possible right now while everyone is euphoric but they only have a small window.
