Once AK confirmed it, I'm with Joe that was some bullshit.

Nike gave Complex a bag for them to wear a shoe, an ad and/ or to display the shoes in frame on camera during the broadcast.

Joe asked about the numbers, ( how much did Nike pay, how much does Complex keep and whats in it for us?)

IIRC, the bag was something like $10K. All 3 of them got a pair of the shoes to wear/keep and like $200.........

Da fuck?! Complex is keeping damn near 90% of the bag. And then they wanted to give them an extra $250/ week for ads moving forward.....

Well if you're getting $10 racks from companies and potentially more than 1 company each week.... why the fuck would I agree to an extra $250/week?!

So he tried to negotiate...... could it have been done better... maybe.....
Ultimately he showed he had the juice. The show was on life support without him and eventually was a wrap.

I'm not really mad about him leaving EDS, they wont really trying to pay him like that and while they were trying to expand EDS to cover other topics, they wont trying to increase their pay. I know this is Joe's side of things, but I've heard that complex can be stingy when it comes to paying their talent.
