let em hang on the balcony - have them come in and do a segment / mini interview

I do think some are pure....Folks like SAS (i know, i know i don't fuck with him either) and Bakari speak on major platforms and can't say the samething they can say on the major platform they are on....I know for a fact that's why Bakari started his podcast because he was constraint in what he can say on CNN.....
Hell even look at Unc....Unc can't say half the stuff he says on his podcast.....
I do think there are others (we saw it in this election) that are paid to push an agenda.....
I hope it is....It definitely would be some good conversations....I actually would subscribe to see it.....

there are industry plants in podcasting just like people claim in anything else.
Not just based on sponsorship
just to get ON in a flooded marketplace.
MOST podcasters are talking sh*t giving hot takes being disingenuous cannibalizing each other regurgitating the same exact talking points and can't follow the most basic media ethics.
Maybe he needs to explain what he really means by "pure".

Maybe I misunderstood...Was he specifically talking about hip hop podcasts or podcasts in general.....Hip hop, probably disagree...Alot of BS discussed in alot of hip hop podcasts.....Podcasts in general (covering a multitude of topics), I probably would agree.....
I still think podcasts has more pure or factual content than regular media on the idiot box.....XM radio is probably the purest of them all....

Agreed. Hip Hop industry definitely isn't pure....
I do think podcasting as a whole across all subject matters is still pure for the most part compared to other media outlets...

I think that time done passed.
As we saw with the election and even these hip hop blogs starting beefs and opening up old wounds...
there is a REASON for the RISE of that content.
And SOMEONE is funding it.
and it is HARD as hell to just get a podcast off the ground in 2025 and beyond with absolutely no support?
