No disrespect to Ish, but that is what happens when you are around people who aren't mentally in the same lane as you regularly. When you are around people who are at your level of thinking or better, you don't look as intelligent or people discover you're a fraud. I understood what he was trying to say but he couldn't articulate it well because he was getting frustrated. Also, he probably felt attacked since he fucks with a white woman.
His example wasn't the best either. I don't think you are required to tell your race on applications. He would have been better off stating that black people who look white may still be look down on by other blacks. On the white side of their family, they may not be accepted at all. I think he was trying to say once the general public figures out you are black they'll treat you as such. Their experience may not be the same as someone who is dark skin, but that doesn't mean their life is easier in all instances. This doesn't even factor in getting into trouble trying to fit in with peers trying to prove your blackness or whiteness.
I understood Flips point. M Ford used the best term for what Flip was describing which is pandering especially if you as a black man don't typically or never dates black women. Personally, I only feel like militants like in Don't Be a Menace are hypocrites.
I get the argument that you aren't pro black by having a family with another race. In my mind your descendents could continue your trend of picking other races to have kids with. Five generations later and your offspring don't know they are part black especially if the culture and history isn't passed along. That being said the samething could occur if you choose black. Your kids could still date other races.
I literally changed my stance as I was writing this. when I considered the generations possibly after you death, I don't think you can call yourself pro black and have kids with another race. I sounds dumb but you could literally be the start of the thinning of black blood in your family. So on some level, you are being counterproductive to being pro black.
