"Nick Hogan's Crash Victim Leaves Hospital

Posted Sep 9th 2009 1:35PM by TMZ Staff

The Iraq War veteran who suffered brain damage when Nick Hogan wrecked his car on August 26, 2007 was finally released from the hospital today.

John Graziano left the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa today in the care of his mother, after doctors determined his condition had improved enough to go home, this according to TampaBay.com.

John -- who will still need 24-hour assistance -- fractured his skull when Hogan's car hit a palm tree in Clearwater, FL during a street race. Hogan spent five months in jail over the accident -- the Graziano's civil lawsuit against the Hogan family is still pending.

:smh:
Nick Hogan, whose questionable driving skills left his passenger/pal and former Marine John Graziano needing medical care for the rest of his life, is officially out of jail.

Hogan pleaded no contest in May 2007 to reckless driving.

But his sentence got reduced and he was released from the Florida jail early Tuesday morning, into the capable custody of his sister Brooke Hogan

He could have been in the pen for up to five years. But Graziano's family requested a lesser sentence and he served 166 days of an eight-month sentence.

No word on where Nick's parents were. But click here to see Linda Hogan the day before Nick was released. Priceless.

And Linda did release a statement about her son: "Nick went into prison as a juvenile and has experienced something that will mold and affect him for the rest of his adult life. His focus is to make a positive difference in this world, media-free. Since his future actions will speak louder than any words, there is no need to speak to the media at this time."

Nick's license will be suspended for three years. He also has to do 500 hours of community service. But Nick's "actions" could also include spending time on that new reality show he has said he wants to star in.

What do you think? Should Nick be off the hook?

Mark my words ... he will soon return to jail for a much longer time. Spoiled rich kids don't usually get it the first go round. Especially when they are males and have an asshole of a father figure to live/look up to.

What's the deal with civil suits? Is it more of a monetary thing ... or is there a possibility of return jailtime? I'm not up the law/legal system, (n)or criminology.

How much the Hogan fam' gonna pay up in the end?

Too bad Nick himself wasn't wealthy off his OWN means. I'd like to see him come out of pocket from this.

'Cuz everyone here knows Hulk's pockets = the ones that'll be paying up ... it sure as hell ain't coming from Linda ... she's too busy getting fucked down by Charlie

I wonder if Hulk's wife will try to fuck him too.

He's the right age? :dunno:

That was fucked up to say wasn't it. :smh:

That Charlie kid she's fucking used to go to high school with her kids ... :puke:

"On December 18, 1983, Bollea married Linda Claridge (born August 24, 1959). They have a daughter Brooke (born May 5, 1988) and a son Nick (born July 27, 1990). Bollea made his personal life the centerpiece of the television show Hogan Knows Best, which includes his wife and two children.

Bollea's 17 year old son Nick was indicted as an adult on November 7, 2007 on four criminal charges. The charges stemmed from an August car accident which seriously injured the passenger in Nick's car, John Graziano. Nick pleaded no contest and was sentenced to eight months in jail on May 9, 2008.[135]

According to an interview in The National Enquirer, Christiane Plante revealed that she had an affair with Hogan in 2007 while the Hogan family was shooting Hogan Knows Best.[136] Plante was 33 years old at the time and had worked with Brooke Hogan on her 2006 album.[137] On November 20, 2007, Linda filed for divorce in Pinellas County, Florida.[138] Hulk told St. Petersburg Times that he was unaware of the filing when the paper called for a comment. The Graziano family's lawyer believed the divorce might have been an attempt to divide the family's assets from a planned civil suit against the Bolleas regarding their son, Nick.[139] After filing for divorce, Linda (48 at the time) began dating Charlie Hill (19 at the time). Hill was a student at Brooke and Nick's high school, one grade above Nick and one grade below Brooke.[140][141] In November 2008, Linda revealed to the public that she made the decision to end her marriage after finding out about Hulk Hogan's affair."

from reading through some of the youtube comments, it would seem the victim was also a racer, why wasn't he wearing his seat belt, why did nick drink and drive? :smh:

They were saying before the crash and this dude's state he was a big time asshole to the 100th degree, not saying this shit is something he deserves but karma and the universe has a profound way of paying you back. I'm just saying.

Yeah - they were the best of buddies back in the day. They probably thought they were INVINCIBLE ... and had driven recklessly before (plus Nick had a little bit of experience in the DRIFTING game ... so he probably thought his skills behind the wheel were better than they actually were). The crazy shit though is that prior to the incident ... he had been pulled over for speeding a few times. It was even reported he was stopped TWICE in one day in the time leading up to that fateful day in '07. Graziano was probably just his sidekick/wingman/accomplice and liked the thrill of speeding and shit too ... just stupid, the both of 'em. They're lucky no one was KILLED ...

Yeah - that's what I've heard too ... that the cat was a prick. But the vegetable state he's in now ... can't wish that on anyone. There are far bigger assholes the world over who are still doin' their thing with a perfect bill of health ... unharmed ... meanwhile this kid's gonna have mom and dad wiping his ass for the rest of his life.

" Hulk Hogan's Son's Friend Leaves Hospital

TAMPA (Bay News 9) -- John Graziano, who suffered severe brain damage in a car crash involving wrestler Hulk Hogan's son, left James A. Haley VA Medical Center in Tampa Wednesday afternoon.

He left the hospital with his mother, Debbie, who was all smiles talking about her son's progress.

"I just thank God that this day did happen against what everybody thought," she said. "And this hospital is amazing. It is the best hospital imaginable. And they've just brought my son so far."

She said it was time for him to come home.

"Once the hospital has finished doing everything they can for my son it's time for him to come home," she said. "That's where he was right before and that's where he'll be until he's well enough to be moving out on his own." = Wishful thinking :confused:

The 24-year-old will live with his mother at her Pinellas County home.

"I'm going to be getting some temporary help," she said. "And then, my friends and family, you know, we're going to make it work."

Graziano suffered serious head injuries in a crash Aug. 26, 2007 while riding in a Toyota Supra driven by friend Nick Bollea, Hogan's then-17-year-old son.

Graziano, a Marine who served in Iraq, was taken to Bayfront Medical Center following the crash and to the VA hospital three months later.
Since the crash, Graziano has slowly gotten better.

He had life threatening brain swelling that forced doctors to remove portions of his frontal lobe, leaving him in a coma.

About a year later, his family released home video of Graziano undergoing rehabilitation treatment at the Tampa VA hospital. A few months after that, Graziano was in a semi-conscious state but well enough to go outside the hospital with his dad.

He also had reconstructive surgery to fix the crater in his skull.

And Wednesday, doctors determined he was well enough to finally go home.

"Right now (John) is high-end minimally conscious. With a lot more rehabilitation and with all the new things that are coming out that are available- we'll just see how far he goes," Debbie Graziano said.

“I just have a strong faith in the Lord. And I'm not saying how far anything is going to go but I know that he will get me through it. And I'm just going to watch John's journey unfold. And as far as it goes, we're going to be right there with him."

Bollea, now 19, spent six months in Pinellas County Jail after entering a no contest plea to a charge of reckless driving involving serious bodily injury.

He was originally sentenced to eight months, but was released early on Oct. 21, 2008 for good behavior.

Since the crash, Graziano's father, Ed, was arrested and booked into the Pinellas County Jail. He's awaiting trial on a charge that he tried to hire someone to kill his wife, Debbie.

Attorneys for John Graziano also filed a civil suit last year seeking millions of dollars to pay for his medical bills.

The lawsuit names Bollea, his father, Terry, and mother, Linda, as defendants, as well as Daniel Jacobs, who Clearwater Police said was racing Bollea before the crash.

Bay News 9 received a statement from Nick Bollea via his attorney.

Kevin Hayslett says, "Nick and the entire Bollea family always thought of John Graziano as a second son. His release from the hospital is an answer to prayer and they continue to support his recovery."

"Linda Hogan Settles with Nick's Crash Victim

Posted Jan 21st 2010 3:30PM by TMZ Staff

Linda Hogan has officially paid for her son's horrific 2007 car crash -- the one that left a marine with serious brain injuries.

Hogan's attorney claims Linda reached a financial settlement in an auto negligence lawsuit with the family of John Graziano -- who was riding shotgun when Nick Hogan crashed his car into a tree while racing down a Florida highway.

The terms of the settlement are confidential.

As for Hulk and Nick Hogan -- a lawyer for the Graziano family tells us they don't expect the men to settle before the next scheduled court date in September.

Linda's attorney tells TMZ, "With the resolution of this matter [The Grazianos] can have finality and Linda is able to assist John."

all that money he sunk into pops supra he could have added a rollcage would have helped

it could have been worse with a roll cage, they're only safe when using helmets and harnesses together........you could get away with just a harness if the seat mount is somehow integrated into the cage and the crash isn't bad enough to collapse it....

but a cage, with no helmet and just a regular seatbelt = pinball machine.:smh:
