Why does that statement make her out to be a "tragic mulatto"?
- She's not "downing" Black people.
- She's not "uplifting" White people.
- She's acknowledging her racial make up which is a fact.
- She's not saying she's "better" than anyone because of her racial identity.
- She's probably acknowledging how her father and brother identify themselves.
Why is any of that a bad thing....?
