The Prefontaine has always been a big deal. My wife ran track in high school and college. So, we have attended many of these events. We've been to the Pre as well as the Penn relays numerous times. lawd lawd, the amount of fine women at these events is insane.

These events as well as other diamond league events determine national standings as well as sponsorships. This is also how up and coming runners get to make a name for themselves, gain sponsorships, and see where they rank among the best in the world. Plus, winning $15K for first place is not bad for one day of work.

Just came in to say. Being busted before the Olympics means that she didn't train for the Olympics, plus all the dumbasses who felt some misjustice was done to her, probably meant she felt no need to train.
