Shelly is 5 feet. Fast reaction time, stamina and a fast top end speed can make up for the lack of height.
Height is more a factor among 400m runners not so much among 100m sprinters.
For the people who keep saying she has time, she doesn't have the physical attributes to beat the current season's leaders. Some of you belive that the current Jamaican runners will age out. This may be true, but Jamaica literally has sprint factory with a next man up attitude where some little girl right now is looking to be the next queen of Jamaica.
I believe Carl Lewis is right. We need an overhaul of our US track team. Better recruiting, less coddling, and more hard work. There are other up and coming black US sprinters who are more deserving than Sha'Carri.

The men are kicking ass right now.
Jamaica didn't win yesterday's race and their men's sprinting is done now that Bolt is retired. Their upcoming sprinters don't matter, they will be overshadowed by Sha'Carri. People who are presently winning already are. None of them will be remembered long term or see big earnings in the Sha'Carri era, just Sha'Carri.

BGOL will definitely be interested. Sha'Carri isn't the most popular athlete in the US but she is in the international community. The board definitely needs to know her race schedule. Thanks for the heads up.
