Renovation of a property is typically and financially governed by it's location. Picking a property in Alabama was a very smart choice because he'll be able to secure the labor for reasonable pricing. Hell....I've also bought property in Alabama, and looking to buy more in the next couple of years before it becomes a bigger trend.

Well it's going to need a lot of renovation, but my concern is about environmental impact on people there. Need to bring in a third party(from outside of Alabama if possible, because "Bama is going to bama") to do an environmental assessment of the area.

FAM...THE MAJOR CONCERN IS ASBESTOS AND ITS DISPOSAL AND REMOVAL.....rest assured that no 1.5million dollar near Anniston AL is left vacant without developers looking at it........I hope his advisor got a plan for that bc companies that handle that ish are very very expensive...in some cases outrageously so. but I wish him much success.

I think both sides can be well-intended. The property sounds questionable from a safety standpoint given it's past usage. I don't know enough about the specifics, but past chemical testing or nuclear anything isn't an easy thing to mess with.
Props as long as Katt did his research and knows what he's doing. That's all that matters. I think we're all for black men owning property and trying to do big things. I also think we're sensitive to (even protective of) not wanting our own being put in a bad situation.

Katt has a friend, family member or himself who has a company registered with the SBA that applies for the government contract to clean the property or bring it to inhabitable code (In most cases, the funding for such a job would be provided by the EPA), so in turn, Katt might have just had the EPA buy the property for him, and clean it at the same time.
