That’s anecdotal, of course some will play Euphoria no doubt. For a record to be big it needs to appeal to a large audience.
A song not resonating with the lager population doesn’t mean it’s not good. It just means that it’s more of a niche.
In this battle Kendrick did very well with giving his core audience who enjoys the layers, wordplay and more complicated flow patterns something to listen to and with the new track, not like us, he gave the casual fans something that they can bump and enjoy.
So the collective of people who are playing Kendrick’s song everywhere are now anecdotal? These are large numbers and it’s being played everywhere and that’s not even the point.
The point is, the tracks Drake has released aren’t of an emcees caliber. They’re mediocre and frankly lightweight. The onus isn’t who can dance, do numbers, or sell but who can outrap who. Metrics that Drake has failed at with every turn.
You’re free to stan Drake all you’d like, as we’ve been battling these views since he came out, but there’s little to no objectivity in yours, or Aubrey’s Angel’s logic that are gonna turn real hip hop fans.
This is frankly extremely disingenuous work and I, along with the rest of the entire global collective are gonna have to disagree with your entire viewpoint.
Hip hop fans know this genre and we know it well.
