I think that dude Professor Skye had the best breakdown of Drake being upset... called it "transactional" friendships... Drake doesn't really have those friends that Kendrick has and can speak on like he did on The Heart pt. 6... so he forms these friendships with people that he can mutually benefit from... gave the example of Drake calling Adin Ross BROTHER dozens of times, and then saying in order for them to stream again they'd have to get paid "billions"... essentially, anyone he can mutually gain from, in one way or another, is his brother.

Exactly. These weren't his Day 1s. You can't be an opportunist, surround yourself with opportunists, and then be mad when said opportunists hop on the winning side.

I don't see how he can sue Kendrick when HE said,

"You waited for this moment, overcome with the desperation
We plotted for a week, and then we fed you the information."

How tf you suing me for defamation when you told me the shit?

:roflmao:

Ssssooooooooooooo this isn't over.
Drake dropped that lawsuit and filed another, completely different lawsuit this morning, actually suing UMG over Not Like Us for defamation.

“Throughout his career, Drake has intentionally and successfully used UMG to distribute his music and poetry to engage in conventionally outrageous back-and-forth ‘rap battles’ to express his feelings about other artists. He now seeks to weaponize the legal process to silence an artist’s creative expression and to seek damages from UMG for distributing that artist’s music."
