I did an entire workshop series with some kids in Philly back in 2016 using GKMC. So many themes to break apart and study.

Used this as well to teach writers to write from the heart and stop thinking when writing your first draft. Kendrick was all over the place on this track. It reads like a stream-of-conscience free-write, and that's dope. That's how a first draft should come out. So while it played I used to make the young poets write stream of conscience. We'd listen to it once then I'd make them write while it was playing. Your pen had to move the entire time the song was on and never allowed to stop. Whatever popped in your heart you had to write it down. Those pieces used to come out so raw and dope.

He hates what he stands for which is he thinks Drake doesn’t represent hip hop! He thinks he benefits from hip hop but doesn’t embody hip hop; so yea he hates that aspect!!
