After reading through some of this thread, no shots at anyone in here, but at what point are we going to acknowledge that this shit is General Hospital, straight Young and the Restless chatty Patty hair salon gossip? Some ole real housewives tea... but only boys allowed, lol.

Rap beef is cool, but maybe I've outgrown caring about it because if you have sift through this much gossip from the the most "too-online podcast" niggas on Earth, is it even worth it?

You're wrong and it's not rap beef. It's people who worked together and know each other on a personal level so it's deeper.

Those who know the artists and the music know the shots and they're deeper and more direct than your descriptions.

I think it's fair to be over the battle/competition of hip hop. There's nothing wrong with that. But we can't pretend that's it's not a core part of the culture. It's in ALL the elements of hip hop. Rappers battling each other to say they're the dopest, or their DJ is the dopest is 80s classic. Breakers battle each other STILL. Graffiti artists wanna have the best tag or bombing in the city, at the very least, in the most extreme location. DJs have been battling forever. It's engrained in hip hop. So I personally love when there's a healthy battle on wax (not this drill shit where teenagers are actually killing the ops and then snitching on themselves on the next song or IG Live).

Again, that said, I don't think there's anything wrong if you don't fuck with it anymore. We sometimes just be over shit we liked or appreciated at one point.

"Control" was the spirit of competition. These are direct shots to Drake on a personal level and also shots to Cole.

this shit is a Minstrel Show

life is ending a second at a time and this is what people concern themselves with?

supposed grown men excited because other supposed grown men are talking about each other on songs

men....we gotta do better...this shit is a virtual knitting circle

ay bruh,

I know exactly where you're coming from. Neely Fuller Jr is absolutely correct about how we behave with each other.

Mfkrs keep saying this is a diss.....

This is a call to bars.

K Dot told the top of field he was the best on "Control" and all the cats he named, shied away from the challenge. I forget who, but someone (maybe CyHi/ consequence) jumped out the window unloading real disses. Completely misunderstanding the assignment.

Now he's reiterating himself.
"I think y'all were dissing me. So let me poke the bear(s). I'm feeling froggy. Lets jump. Show me that you're better than me! Cuz there's no "Top 3." There's me and then there's rest of y'all."
You see dreamville's response on X? They know what it is... and it's gonna be a good competition, coz Cole got bars so shit gonna be good

Well said. I don't knock the artistry, I'm moreso over the gossip machine. Social media turns everything into parasocial psychosis. We don't know these niggas, but man do people have a lot to say about what they want them to mean. And while we'd prefer everything to stay on wax with the focus on bars, we also gotta understand that that's just not how things work anymore.

If you break down and decipher the lyrics it definitely was a diss.

He told Drake that he has the money and power but no respect.

Told Drake that his best work was light work to him.

Told Drake that he was a nerd with money.

Told them that if there was an issue he'd tell him exactly where he was and to come handle it.

Cole praised and showed respect to Kendrick in "First Person Shooter" by calling them the Big Three.

As you stated, Kendrick said "Fuck you niggas it's only Me".

There's more but those definitely sound like disses to me.

Well... I mean, this is 5 pages or chatty posts on reading between the lines by niggas who personally know none of these artists.

If this ain't even rap beef, then it's simply spicy recaps of The Real Housewives Reunion.

The best possible outcome is that Drake and Cole come back with some fire bars and nothing else. But I get a feeling we gonna get a whole lot more of nothing else or insta captions with vague references to niggas fucking models that other niggas wasn't ready to share.

But hey man, maybe I'm wrong :dunno:

Well by definition this is a "Message Board", a space dedicated to Chatty Patrick's to talk about a variety of topics and people that none of us know personally.

If you think this thread's bad, just wait until you find out how many people around the world talk about that Soap Opera called "Sports".

That's a tad different because with sports, we can talk about what actually happened. Right now this thread is mostly speculation and assumption before and after what amounts to a basic Kendrick verse.

But you know what, I'm sleep. I'll be up whenever these dudes respond with bars. Ultimately, I'm just hoping beyond hope to get good verses and not Shade Room eyes.

Those who know the music know exactly what was said by Kendrick. There’s no assumptions or speculations, he said what he said loud and clear for everyone to hear and easily comprehend.

Apparently some didn’t hear it.

He clearly said “No Sneak Dissing” , so we knew who he was talking about and how he felt about him.

I also hope that Drake and Cole respond.
