Somebody broke it down in the comments stating that's not how ownership of other artist's publishing works, but I doubt this is true...
Drake is a huge artist but to think that a label is going to give him points off some of the most notable, profitable, influential, and talented artists in the game today just to keep him happy and signed, or to sweeten the deal, or to get him more money... that's not something I see happening.
I think you'd jeopardize your relationships with all of those artists doing that, it would hurt their bottom line, and at the end of the day I think it would just destroy the rap game in totality.
Take Kendrick for example... let's say this is true, he finds out and says FUCK THIS then quits music altogether. Drake fans would see this as the BIGGEST of wins, but that means no more music from Kendrick... or the weeknd... or future... or Ross... only music from Drake, Drake related artists, OVO artists, etc.
Or they could pull a Prince, change their name to a symbol or some shit, then record that way.
