TMZ has shown their metal time and again as a reputable news source.according to tmz:
KB is survived by his wife Vanessa, and their four daughters -- Gianna, Natalia and Bianca and their newborn Capri. Kobe and Vanessa got married in 2001 after meeting in 1999.

We're told they were on their way to the Mamba Academy for a basketball practice when the crash occurred. The Academy is in nearby Thousand Oaks.
Did they say what they think might have happened ???

they will do a full investigation of course
but for real - this terrain where the crash happened is hilly, straight up and down with limited visibility due to the fog. it wouldn't be hard to misjudge a hillside coming out of nowhere in these conditions. usually the fog burns off by early morning, but it's been so cold out here lately that the fog is lingering around, especially in the hills, which surround the la basin
