I look at Jay Z, the same way I look at Coach K. Coach K got over 1000 wins, 5 national championships. He has probably made more money than any college coach, and has made Duke the most watched college basketball team, but when you look beneath the surface, he is not the best coach of all time.
Coach K and Jay Z had perfect timing, great marketing schemes and slick gimmicks, took advantage of the politics in their industries, and use their power to influence shallow people into think they are greater than they really are.
I respect your opinion and respectfully disagree. Not to the extent that I'm saying that he's the G.O.A.T., because I have consistently not said that, but to the extent of saying that he belongs in the conversation.
