Whenever you makin' big cake like that you need a dude to handle your shit, a dude to check his shit, and a third dude to keep an eye on both of them. And most importantly, they shouldn't know about each other. And you still have to find time to go over what all of them are up to.

Welp, better late than never I guess.

lol...i c a few of y`all didnt read the article before commenting...:rolleyes2:
Not sure what you are saying. Although, the family friend stole the money, the article made it clear that pops dropped the ball when it came to checking up on the missing money when it was first discovered.

Your accountant tells you that 1.5 million is unaccounted for and you choose to ignore it?

Why steal when you had the opportunity to make even more money?

Bottom line, dude’s a thief and he has a history. I’m shocked Lavar didn’t know he did time in prison.
man i believe a lot of these dudes dont plan on stealing
they believe they can borrow the money for some bs side business they have and then replace the dough
what happens is that shit always flops and then theyre unable to replace the dough
but yeah in the end he's still a thief

This will be a lesson learned for the Ball family. It will be interesting how everything goes moving forward with the Big Baller Brand as Alan was running the day to day operations. Lavar for the most part was the idea guy/spokesperson.

I wonder if they hire someone with a good business background to run the business operations. Or maybe just close it down altogether.

LaMelo Ball will be in the league come Fall 2020, so maybe BBB will continue to flourish. I'd love to see them continue to grow the brand.

“Friends” and money :smh:

The Balls fucked up royally; you always do a background checks on folks you deal with, personally and ESPECIALLY when they are getting access to the business and the money.

This cat is fortunate he’s still breathing and Ball ain’t a street dude and this ain’t a street situation because maybe have caught leadfor stealing a LOT less.

You might be right, I was hoping he was official. They all were so tight knit, it’s just a shame.

And he stills OWNS 16% of the company. Damn So not only did he steal from Lonzo, they are going to have to pay him to settle the percentages. Why in the hell would you offer so much of the company to a felon? Then again, maybe the felon had the real start up cash??

Everyone’s making it like Lavar and the Ball family were dumb, unfortunately when you deal with lots of money thieves come around.

They should’ve done a background check but it happens to many who have money, Kevin Garnett was defrauded out of 77 MILLION DOLLARS!

Good point about KG. Some of these financial advisors are worst than the stick up kids in the streets.

This is support for the notion that these kids need to go to college even if it’s only to learn how to manage their finances.

My 13 year old had financial literacy classes this year and looking at some of the mistakes I made with money and credit when I was younger I could only wish to have had that when I was in school.

Talking to my barber one day he was like my dad taught me basketball I wish he would have taught me more about money and managing it

At least he found out now rather than later. 1.5 mil is a lot, but it could have been worse.
How did his pops not do a thorough background check on dude before putting him in charge of their finances and part owner of the company. Don't matter how good of a family friend he became. Business is business.

If you have 1.5 million in your hands, that pretty much means that it was really 3 million before taxes. No matter how much money you have, no one likes to feel like they've been taken advantage of.

Expensive lesson learned early in the game

Lessons learned and keep better track of your finances.
The article mentions concerns over his criminal past. Didn't they know? He ain't google this fool he met in 2010? No background check? He wasn't popped for drugs, weapons, assault, or any street shit. He was popped for committing fraud and relieving 70 people from $4 million.

Why put him on any paperwork? Lonzo better go cozy up to Lebron and start fucking with his business dealings. Fuck this bootlegg shit.
