Damn, all three brothers unfollowed Big Baller Brand on IG. I guess it's all over with the family sports brand. I wonder if they'll still keep the facebook show.

Take that Nike money young man

Should have done this from the jump.

But if you said this you were automatically labeled as any number of things that indicated you weren’t about black people having ownership/control.

I was like, take the Nike deal, ball, use that money they had own the table (NBA career/talent/stats sight unseen) and flip that to move BBB when that deal was up.

Pops used the kid to what was primarily his (and his buddy’s) dream, yet didn’t have the common sense to full vet the inner circle. I mean, I respect what LaVar WANTED to do, but it could have developed over a few years. And how the fuck do you NOT ask what someone was doing with 7 years of their life? And if you knew they were in the joint, and what they were in there for, and want to give them a shot, ok, but off GP, they should have NO access to the money!

Hope the kid, who I think can be an all-star if he can stay healthy, learns from this and takes more control of his brand and life.

I was with them trying their own brand. It would have worked if they hired real business people to handle shit. They have an F rating with the BBB (better businesses bureau) and people were getting wrong offers

When they were doing pop up stores and cash transactions that's one thing, but they hired a straight crook and gave him 16% of the business. :smh::smh:

The same shit that makes him a great hype person makes him terrible at actually running the day to day operations. He may believe his own hype therefore he can't fail in his own mind.

He waited months to check up when any sane person would have been on it instantly.

Dude look shady, I’d be like call in the Wolf and sic the dogs on his ass until he start talking. And you a manager for this brand but you can’t meet:confused: to discuss a shortfall of 1.5 million dollars? I’d be like ok. No worries. Stay right where you at. And call the Goon squad. Mf comedy:smh:

Look at these CAC vultures. CAC putting out statements and getting into these young men head about their father.

These CAC will take more than 1.5 million from them and I hope the understand.

CAC couldn’t wait to divide this family

He practices and works out in Nikes and J's

He really only brings the BBB shoes to staples or whenever he was gonna be in front of a camera

Yo, what the fuck? He don't wear them to practice in? That says it all right there. It's not like he's on a fucking budget.

Yeah, I wanted them to win, but this is some clown shit. How much money he leave on the table with Nike, because that should be included in this $1.5 million lesson.

Ideally, he should have took the hype his father built for him and took that Nike bread.

Say it again. Dem white folks also did Mike Vick and Terrell Owens dirty with the finances. Lonzo got swindled, but it's now a lesson learned. Thank goodness it happened this early. Dude coulda found out in 10 yrs that he was missing 15 million.

How is he the one leaving when he owns 51%? If Melo leaves too; then that's the brand. It'll pretty much just be Burlington Fodder after that.....

Sounds to me like Zo is just cutting his loses. Guaranteed the 1.5 he lost is worth more than the 51% stake. Just getting out, doing your own thing, and building your own shit on your own is worth it.

Dre left Deathrow with nothing after being ripped off and being tired of the random bullshit. Look how it turned out for him.

And let's be honest.....Zo making it to the league made everything possible. He is still on a rookie contact and essentially lost 3mm. The 1.5 he got to keep is after tax money.

neva let someone else handle your money

This.

I can’t imagine letting anyone handle my money without me knowing where every cent was at.

Hell, I wouldn’t let anyone handle my money period. I almost shat a brick when I found out R Kelly never been to the bank where his money was at until recently.

How in the fuck do people become so trusting of others like that?

Feel bad for Lonzo, but, I blame Lavar for this mess. I loved his idea of creating his own brand of sneakers, but, before you partner up with anybody on a business venture, you have to do your research. Especially, in a situation where you are USING your son's name and fame and as most of us speculated, his money. Very expensive lesson to learn. Thank your pops for literally dropping the BALL on this one. Less talking, more reading. The email was sent to him as soon as his financial advisor noticed the missing money ........ No excuse as to why it took him so long to investigate.

The saddest thing for me is that I always gave Lavar props for the BBB, but now it comes out there was a puppet master behind all of it, pulling the strings. Lavar was just the mouthpiece.

:smh: I always thought my man was his half-brother for some reason. If I went into business with a long time friend, I don't think doing a criminal background check is what would be on my mind. So basically all the shit that got fucked up in BBB was on this dude I'm understanding. From the delayed shipment of product to JBA players not getting paid was him fucking shit up. Damn.

I have always said it was BULLSHIT. That this shit was STUPID. That it was dumb to turn down MILLIONS for this silly knockoff budget tennis shoes ... Because they would silkscreen your initials on it.

I always said anyone who would pay $750 for some shoes from a rookie was a Damn fool. Some celebrities thought it was a good idea (what does that tell you?).

This is embarrassing for a lot of folks. LaVar stupid.

I hate to see this startup black business go down over some BS. Think about this, this kid is about to throw away a business created for him and his brothers -that he owns 50% of, because somebody stole money.

There is nothing about this kid that indicates to me he has any idea how to run a company, so somebody has to be trusted to run it. But either way, the fact remains that he & his Pops have created something unique that could go on if they work it right. Melo is coming soon, and has the personality & skills to push it further. Hire some new people, or educate yourself. Don't throw that your whole shit away for handouts & white dependency.

Say what you will about Pops, but Lonzo wouldn't have the popularity or the #2 pick 22 mil contract without him. So cut Lavar off if you want, but don't destroy the vision, cause the vision was beautiful.
