Why aren't they dropping and rolling??? Im confused as to why someone on fire is just standing there like theyre getting a perm or some shit???
What’s the first thing people tell individuals not to do when being saved from drowning? Not to panic.. how many people actually listen to that advice when actually put in that scenario... when Shit hit the fan 1 of the quickest things to go out the window is common sense and critical thinking.. everything is easy until real life situations happen.. so dropping and rolling is easier said and done when your not engulfed in flames but if you torch most people watch how many will do everything else but that.. that’s the reality of human beings

New York police on Monday were trying to determine why someone set a woman ablaze board a train in Brooklyn in a fatal attack drawing outrage from city and state leaders who have been laboring to make the trains safer.

The suspect and victim were aboard the train at around 7:30 a.m. Sunday when the suspect approached the victim and intentionally set her on fire before fleeing the scene, New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said at a briefing.

Tisch described the attack as "one of the most depraved crimes one person could possibly commit against another human being."

Mayor Eric Adams expressed gratitude to "the young New Yorkers and transit officers" who aided in the capture of someone described as a person of interest on another subway train a few hours after the "heinous" attack.

"This type of depraved behavior has no place in our subways and we are committed to working hard to ensure there is swift justice for all victims of violent crime," Adams said in a social media post.

Sunday's tragedy took place just days after New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, MTA CEO Janno Leiber and law enforcement officials announced efforts to increase subway safety.

"A suspect is now in custody for the horrific incident on the F train," Hocul said in a statement, adding that new security cameras "helped law enforcement find the suspect and arrest him."

There was a guy that torched himself downtown I believe in city hall and he stood still and than eventually dropped.. maybe it’s shock maybe your body goes through some stuck stage b4 you die when in engulfed in flames.. not the first time seen something like that.. also person was sleeping or something b4 getting lit on fire maybe they were under the influence or brain wasn’t comprehending what was going on at that moment

She was done b4 people really noticed her.. they literally have to see if she has any dental records to identify the body.. she was engulfed in flames it was only a matter of time b4 she died.. if they would’ve put out the flames they would’ve delayed the inevitable.. more likely wouldn’t have survived the night and definitely probably would’ve passed b4 the week is over.. if by miraculously she survived that she would’ve been suffering in pain due to the severity of the burn marks.. fire is no joke.. being burned is next level
i wouldn't have been able to live with myself had i not have tried

that's what i'm outraged about
no one tied to get her on the ground and smother the flames
I just watched the video and became disgusted at the seeing people standing there recording a fellow human burning to death. If I had a jacket no way would I have been fanning the flames, you use the jacket to try and smother the flames.

Ironically the dumbass governor made and released a prop video of her on a train talking bout making the subways safer right around the same time this happened

Man, some asshole hit my parked car, and for the first time in years I have to ride the subway, and it has gotten much worse, got homeless derelicts sleeping everywhere like they are at the Marriot. I know times are hard and sometimes you have no choice, but these are real bums, drunks and druggies.

Why is the woman just standing there on fire like nothing is happening

When someone on fire I expect this

Very grim shit! So I was reading one of the explanations, they said after the initial struggle, the 3rd degree burns are so bad that they burn down to the muscle tissue, hence destroying the nerve endings under the skin. So her standing there is pure shock and unable to breathe and see from all the smoke and possible damage to face and eyes, there really isn't much you can do. She probably doesn't feel anything anymore due to the nerve endings destroyed.. and at that point and the brain tends to just shut off.
