Right. Like I said. Blade ain’t popular like that. You know this too.
a physical comic? i don't any. Haven't purchased a physical comic in years but i have downloaded all my comics from the comic section and other sites over the years. I do have several Blade and Blade centric comics saved to my drive. He recently was involved in an arc with the Avengers and was a main part of the story.

Can someone post a background on who Kang the conqueror is?
Nathaniel Richards, a 31st-century scholar and descendant of Reed Richards' time traveling father Nathaniel, becomes fascinated with history and discovers the time travel technology created by Victor von Doom, another possible ancestor of his.[4][5] He then travels back in time to ancient Egypt aboard a Sphinx-shaped timeship and becomes the Pharaoh Rama-Tut, with plans to claim En Sabah Nur—the mutant destined to become Apocalypse—as his heir.[6] Rama-Tut's rule is cut short when he is defeated by the time-displaced Fantastic Four.[7] An embittered Nathaniel Richards travels forward to the 20th century where he meets Doctor Doom, whom he believes might be his ancestor.[8] He later designs an armor based on Doom's and, calling himself the Scarlet Centurion, pits the Avengers team against alternate-reality counterparts. He plans to dispose of all of them, but the Avengers manage to force him from the timeline.[9]

Nathaniel then tries to return to the 31st century, but overshoots by a thousand years, discovering a war-torn Earth that uses advanced weapons they no longer understand. He finds it simple to conquer the planet, expanding his dominion throughout the galaxy, and reinvents himself as Kang the Conqueror. But this future world is dying, and so he decides to take over an earlier, more fertile Earth.

Kang has no superhuman abilities but is an extraordinary genius, an expert historical scholar, and a master physicist (specializing in time travel), engineer, and technician. He is armed with 40th-century technology, wearing highly advanced battle armor that enhances his strength, is capable of energy, hologram, and force-field projection, has a 30-day supply of air and food, and is capable of controlling other forms of technology. Courtesy of his "time-ship", Kang has access to technology from any century, and he once claimed his ship alone could destroy the Moon.[11]

As Rama-Tut, he used an "ultra-diode" ray gun that was able to sap the wills of human beings. At a high frequency, it is able to weaken superhuman beings and prevent use of their superpowers. They can be freed from its effects if the gun is fired at them a second time.

Sorry. You can't serve two masters. Another epic fail for DC. Let Gunn do his thing. Dude is nice. Stop playing.

They say Gunn is over the creative side and Safran is over the financial side... And they report directly to the WBD CEO... no middle man...

This is probably the best thing to happen to DC by creating DC Studios and separating it from WB Studios...

We'll see

Me and brother @ViCiouS called this early

They still need someone to keep Gunn in check though...

Cause he a genius but can go WAY too far into his own zone.

Peacemaker is his magnus opus

And even there a few times he went a little but extra.

I'm a day one fan of his work since Troma so I'm good but for mass audiences

He gonna need a strong supporting staff.

I really like the hire

Well see

100% agree.

But him still being cool with Marvel is a very very very interesting development.

I don't really know how all that will work.

But... if it leads to maybe just maybe a potential collaboration across company lines?

DC vs. Marvel?

I'm not against that at all.

I dont know about all that. It sounds like its hard enough for Marvel to deal with Sony for Spider-Man. Every six months they swear their partnership is done.

But mostly, DC wants Gunn to be their Feige and build them a DCEU. GOTG 3 is gonna be his last Marvel film, simply because from here on out he probably wont have time for anything else.

I get all that.

Like I said I called for Gunn to get that position way back. It's a great hire. Especially allowing him to just be a creative primarily. He has encyclopedic knowledge crazy talent good relationships (including with Marvel still apparently) is a masterful director smart and after that twitter hiccup awhile back knows exactly how to navigate in the current climate.

I gotta really dig in to see the downside but it seems perfect.

Avatar director James Cameron shades Marvel movies in new interview with MCU star Zoe Saldaña

The actress has starred in three Guardians of the Galaxy films as well as Cameron's Avatar series.

By Joey NolfiOctober 26, 2022 at 09:51 AM EDT

Avatar director James Cameron is following The Way of Water far away from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The Oscar-winning Titanic helmer criticized MCU and DC productions — with Avatar and Guardians of the Galaxy actress Zoe Saldaña participating in the same conversation — in a recent interview with the The New York Times pegged to his upcoming blockbuster sequel.
Responding to a question about how fatherhood has changed his approach to moviemaking, the 68-year-old filmmaker said having children pushed his perspective to new places.

"I also want to do the thing that other people aren't doing. When I look at these big, spectacular films — I'm looking at you, Marvel and DC — it doesn't matter how old the characters are, they all act like they're in college,

" he said during the video conversation, which the Times noted also included Avatar actors Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, and Saldaña.

He continued, "They have relationships, but they really don't. They never hang up their spurs because of their kids. The things that really ground us and give us power, love, and a purpose? Those characters don't experience it, and I think that's not the way to make movies."
The Times piece did not include a direct response from Saldaña. A representative for the actress did not immediately respond to EW's request for comment.

Confirming Cameron's sentiment, The Way of Water producer Jon Landau previously told EW that the planned Avatar sequels "are a story about family, and the lengths parents will go through to keep that family together and keep them safe," because there's "no more universal theme than family."

In addition to fronting the first Avatar film and helping rake in nearly $3 billion in global ticket sales between late 2009 and early 2010, Saldaña joined the MCU for 2014's James Gunn–directed smash Guardians of the Galaxy, which spawned a 2017 sequel. A third film is slated for release in 2023.
The success of Guardians led to Saldaña's character, the green-skinned hero Gamora, crossing over into the Avengers films, while she also appears in themed video footage inside Disneyland's Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout! attraction as well as the new Disney World roller coaster Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
