Bro he looked the part I will give him that... but throwing punches, running, being athletic in any way, he's stiff.

In Texas we have a saying:
He's all hat, no cowboy.

Yall just want Denzel or Michael Jai White or Michael B. Jordan.

There's more bkack actors than that.
Dude did a great job, show was great as well

So is the controversy about Namor being played by a Latin actor still going on or did it disappear like a fart in the wind?

Opinion

I kinda agree wit the fellas in here. Coulter seems like a good guy....just not Luke Cage. Plus us black folks overrated the show.....he didn't really do any Luke Cage shit in the show. I give the netflix people props. They tried

Whaaaaaat?????? See, this is why...

Your going to say you wanted a 70s blaxploitation super hero show, and if you'd have indeed gotten that you'd be complaining still.
It was Luke Cage for current time and they improved/evolved him and his story.

I however, respect your thoughts

I did NOT want the 70s version..LOL. You said that

all I wanted was this

mixed wit a lil of this

but all we got was a brooding emo Luke Cage. I dont blame him though. If Disney were to bring him in Id trust theyd know what to do. Netflix didnt do him right. Making a joke out of the 70s version, or quickly glossing over it was one of the few things Netflix did right in the show. I was glad to see the character on screen, but Im happier that its off Netflix

It wasn't a cartoon or comic. You have to adapt it into a live performance. I don't think because you give a character depth and an emotional range that it counts as "emo".

Having 1 defining characteristic might work in a 20 page comic but not for a 12 hour series for an audience ranging from 14 - 36.

For example, Gambit in the cartoon can be a horny guy with a creole accent that detonates things. That alone wouldn't work if he had a show focused on him. A cartoon yes, but not a 8 or 12 episodic live action series.

Would you agree?

I'm not being as analytical. Coulter lacks the personality...I believe....I don't think it's a coincidence he hasn't been called back....its cool tho. You like it. That's ok man

Those shows were TOO grounded...they needed a lil cgi. Cage deserved the treatment

Yeah a little more comic book looking...

And also I want the new Cage to be tied in with the Captain America / Super Solider storyline like in the comics...

Perfect way to reintroduce him with Isaiah Bradley's storyline already established...
