One Battle After Another is an upcoming American black comedy film written, directed, and produced by Paul Thomas Anderson. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Chase Infiniti. The film is loosely based on Thomas Pynchon's 1990 novel Vineland. This came up in my recommendations a couple of months ago and I watched it last night on the road on Netflix. The preview had caught my attention.
It’s a psychological, crime thriller with minimal suspense. The film is a slow burn but is interesting enough to keep you looking at the screen due to great cinematography work showing how cold and desolate areas of Norway is during the winter time.
The film has an all-star cast of recognizable actors from well known series/films over the past 20 years. There is a number of recognizable actors from the MCU. It was interesting seeing Fassbender and James D’Arcy together in one scene. There is a Marvel comic Easter Egg with Fassbender shouting out a minor character’s first name “Magnus”.
Overall, the film somewhat plays out like Fassbender’s “The Killer”, except this is slow pace. Not really a good film to watch if you suffer from Movie ADHD.

I watched this film this morning at home on Paramount+. I watched it mainly cuz I have been going thru my future ex-wife, Melanie Lynskey’s film catalog.
It’s an independent comedy film with a premise that has been done a number of times over the past 80+ years.
It’s not LOL funny, but somewhat humorous. Melanie does a good job playing a slacker, ex-MJ dealer. The film has a number of recognizable co-stars in minor roles.
For the Thirsty, Melanie looks like shit thru-out the film. The movie was filmed shortly after she gave birth to her first kid, so she still has the preggo thickness that she still has today. The body she had on “Two and Half Men” is long gone. She does wear a couple of outfits displaying the fullness of her big natural DD milk filled boobs. Good cleavage shots and boobs hanging low in dress’ are shown.
For the Militants, Melanie is somewhat attracted to a male co-star. Nothing is shown.
Overall, it’s an entertaining film. If you looking for something to watch with your girl, this will do.
There is a blooper reel played during end credits roll.

This is a ROM-COM that doesn’t play out like a regular film in the genre. I mainly watched it cuz my future ex-wife Melanie Lynskey co-stars in it. I am currently going thru her film catalog. I watched it this afternoon at home on MAX.
The film mainly plays out like a road trip film. It is full of a recognizable cast of supporting actors. The two main characters are developed thru-out the film so it doesn’t slow it down. The comedy is not LOL funny, but it is humorous and entertaining.
For the Thirsty, Maya Rudolph is preggo thru-out the film wearing a prosthetic. There is one scene where we see her preggo belly. She isn’t dolled up in the film but still looks Smashable. Plenty of good shots for the Preggo Pervs. Melanie Lynskey has a small appearance. She is still holding up from her “Two and a Half Men” role, she hasn’t had her baby when this was film and she doesn’t have the massive DD natural boobs she currently has.
Overall, it’s an entertaining film. If you looking for a ROM-COM to watch with your girl, this will do the job.

It’s a western/thriller and it’s a tubi original film based off a novel.
The premise is nothing new and has been done a million times since the 1950s, mainly with western films.
Action and violence is minimal, I went into it expecting it too be hardcore and graphic but it wasn’t. The film has a unique cast of recognizable actors in it. Peter Dinklage and Juliette Lewis are the main stars and do a decent job with their characters. James Hetfield (Metallica) and Leslie Grace also co-star.
Peter and Juliette’s scenes are the highlight of the film and their performances basically make the film interesting.
For the Thirsty, Leslie Grace looks Smashable when she lets her hair out in an Afro. She is Dominican and that Black DNA shows.
Overall, it’s an entertaining film, slow at times, but it will keep you interested and take your mind off of what’s going on in the real world.

Enjoyed this one too. Saw it in the early-2010s on dvd-rip.
Both likeable stars from their work on The Office and SNL.
Good to see them both take on assorted projects over the years. Thought the supporting cast in this movie worked well too.

I had to cling to the potential and great ideas the movie has to actually enjoyed portions of this movie about Nancy, a teacher in a small midwestern town (Holland, Michigan) seemingly living a nice life with her husband and son but something may be laying beneath all the niceness. I enjoyed the performances from the cast including ,Nicole Kidman as Nancy Vandergroot ,Gael Garcia Bernal as Dave Delgado ,Matthew MacFadyen as Fred Vandergroot. The performances includes some nice quirkiness and blends of the year 2000 in which the movie takes place and a corny 1950's vibe. I did like how the assumptions characters made played out between the characters, i liked how some of it was based on pure boredom and desire. Visually it's great especially when it comes to the nightmare scenes. I was happily shocked by a couple of paths the movie takes especially towards the climax.
PROBLEMS: It is extremely dissapointing that the movie never really adds up to much. I kept thinking if they go this route it will be like a great Twilight Zone episode,if they do this or that that will make such a great twist to end the movie on. But unfortunately the movie takes none of the aforementioned paths just plays with ideas. There was no payoff for the patience and time I gave the movie.

I enjoyed the performances from the cast including ,Nicole Kidman as Nancy Vandergroot ,Gael Garcia Bernal as Dave Delgado ,Matthew MacFadyen as Fred Vandergroot. The performances includes some nice quirkiness and blends of the year 2000 in which the movie takes place and a corny 1950's vibe. I did like how the assumptions characters made played out between the characters, i liked how some of it was based on pure boredom and desire. Visually it's great especially when it comes to the nightmare scenes. I was happily shocked by a couple of paths the movie takes especially towards the climax.
PROBLEMS: It is extremely dissapointing that the movie never really adds up to much. I kept thinking if they go this route it will be like a great Twilight Zone episode,if they do this or that that will make such a great twist to end the movie on. But unfortunately the movie takes none of the aforementioned paths just plays with ideas. There was no payoff for the patience and time I gave the movie.
