This dumb muthafucka shouldn’t have played for a team that undermined him to the bitter end. Not playing spoke volumes on how much he’s needed.

Now ain’t no way he’s getting max money.

He has a $31MM (don't quote me) option for next year. He could literally take the $31MM and spend the entire year rehabbing if necessary and folks would STILL take the risk of a max contract when it comes to Kevin Durant. He'll be fine. Money ain't the issue for teams like those courting him right now.

I don’t agree with Perk... GS training staff cleared him but it was ultimately his call.. like I said just look at how he was playing in the 1st he had the mindset of just not doing too much and it was working and the second quarter he tried to go away from it.. He could have easily hit that J over Ibaka he didn’t have to take him off the dribble..

Mr Met is a clown... KD got a player option of $31.5 mill.. he gonna pick it up and rest up and be back next year sometime in March..

But regardless teams already lining up to give him a supermax injured and all

I agree. If here were simply a really good player (Boogie) things would be different. The upside of Boogie being 100% might not be worth the risk of a max contract because the day of the dominant big man has come and gone. Anthony Davis is the exception because of his athleticism, etc. Boogie isn't the cornerstone of a franchise. Durant on the other hand can be and THAT is where risk comes into play. He'll chill with his $30MM and either stay or make a move next year. The funny thing is he could rehab, come back next year (like Boogie) and potentially compete for a ring if Golden State is in the playoffs. He'll take the money....

@BDR , good heads up on the training staff turnover.. I was unaware. Turns out these idiots let the lady responsible for healing Stephs peanut brittle ankles walk away for a few bucks. Imagine investing a billion dollars in an arena, another near billion in on court talent... and letting a key member of the medical/training staff walk for what cant be more than a few 100 grand. This is near criminal level of greed and incompetence.

This is like owning a fleet of Bentleys and saying "nah, im only gonna get liability insurance. full coverage is too pricey."

@Spectrum , this gonna get ugly... :smh:

We'll know when/if it comes out what they told KD what was injured. If they told him that original injury was a calf injury, we don't even need to know anything else :smh:

If the staff has been telling him it's a calf injury though?????

Two days ago he could barely run, slow your dumbass down and pace yourself!

But I feel you

Look at the play he got injured on though.

He wasnt exactly trying to dunk from the free throw line.

He was doing a simple cross and his achilles just gave out.

Its game 5 of an NBA finals and we asking him to slow his ass down. The passion and intensity of those games dont lend themselves to that.

But KD should know his body and he did have his Achilles wrapped.......Warriors was just scared to take a ass whippin

Player aren't trained to read magnetic resonance imaging devices nor are they trained to know if the reading was even properly targeted. It's malpractice if staff had been telling him it was his calf yet the achillees was already stretched. We'll know at some point. Remember Kerr was on TV saying he was saying "there was no risk of further injury". That would indicate they had been telling him it was just a strained calf muscle and nothing else was at risk.

If the achilles was already stretched, I'm sure if they told him "Kevin, you might be able to go out there and play, but considering the injury, you'll be running the risk of detaching your achilles completely", he'd have sat. His coach was literally on tv every day saying he was "day to day" and there was no risk of further injury.

Steve Kerr: "Doctors told me he couldnt injury himself further"

They cleared the guy before he went thru a full contact practice.

This is why I was saying that I didn't think he would even play yesterday despite being "cleared". He was doing light work with the players who don't play. If he had a real practice with the 1st and 2nd squad, it would have been the day of the game :smh:

Like I said, there is no way they would have allowed Curry to go out there like that. Durant was a hired mercenary, so they just said...fuck it..we're guaranteed to lose without him and he's likely leaving anyway so just roll the fucking dice. It's as simple as that.

Jay Williams:"GSW really let the narrative get out of hand.. KD was always targeting game 5 or 6. But they way it as handled- for whatever reason- allowed it to linger that he would possibly come back sooner. And i think it added to the pressure of moving him along faster than he probably should have"..

Exactly

Again, we could see that shit from here

A couple of board members had similar injuries and called it out.

Somebody is lying and crying crocodile tears

People keep talking about KD had the final say ... problem is ..KD ain’t built like that. He ain’t Kawhi. He ain’t bold enough to tell them “I don’t care if you cleared me. I know how I feel. I know what type of injury this is and I’m not risking my future”. He doesn’t have it in him to shake off the criticism from bozos saying he doesn’t have heart. This dude goes at fans on twitter and makes burner accounts to defend himself. He’s the player you have to save from himself.

Warriors didn’t win that game, Raptors gave it away. That was charity. I’ve said all through this thread the Raps take too many threes and run too many place from beyond it, even pulling up on fast breaks to shoot a 3. Si Akan is garbage-he’s JR Smith with height and no 3 or J.

Raptors can’t or choose not to play inside ball. They have no dunkers. Maybe rebound dunks but nobody but Leonard breaks to the basket and even he rarely does it. Nobody guards the Raptors big men because they can’t shoot but only shoot jumpers. Lowery and Leonard blew that game pulling up with 17 seconds on the clock and missing all them damn 3’s. Drive that shit to the hoop! But nah...shoot a 3 even though you keep missing em.

Next game will be the same. Live by the 3, die by the three.

Thank you

He looked so confused and hurt when he was on the floor after the injury.

Who questioned KDs heart? Dubs fans that wanted him to play? Were there Raptors fans pressuring him to play?
She hasnt posted on social media in quite a while. Shes directing that shit in house mainly.
Notice the usual homers are silent. They know deep down GS fucked KD. For what? To win another ring people wont respect like the last 2? :smh:
They musta had a offsite meeting to get their stories straight. None of them cats showed up last nite. Not even Dr. Truth.

But if GS come back and win they'll be here gloating and telling us Steph made all this possible again.

KD has been treated like a mercenary by their fans and organization from the jump. Thats why its bizarre to see dudes speak scenarios where he gladly stays to help his teammates win more rings than he'll ever have.
