Yo, I’m only 10 games into my first MyCareer season... but this 2k20 game is already annoying me beyond words.
I’m a 6’5 PG (playmaker/shooter) who got drafted early in the 1st round by the Knicks. I’m not starting yet, but I’m coming off the bench dropping decent numbers.
The thing that annoys the hell outta me is... every time I get subbed into the game... we are behind on the scoreboard. So I get a few assists & sink a few shots to put us ahead.
Usually my Knicks are up by at least 10-20 points by the time I need a rest.
But then I get benched by the CPU coach near the end of the 3rd quarter.
And every single time I get benched... WE LOSE THE GAME.
Or if I DO happen to get any minutes in the 4th quarter... it’s only in the final 1 minute of the game, when WE ARE DOWN BY double digits. AND WE LOSE. AGAIN.
The last 2 games... I get subbed out at the end of the 3rd. We up by at least 17 or 20 points.... AND WE LOSE.
BADLY.
And the cut scene just skips to the last 10 seconds of the game... and we down by like 8 points, or something like that.
But here’s the wackest part of it.... IM ONLY PLAYING 5 MINUTE QTRS.
So that means the CPU went on a 25-0 run in LESS THAN 5 minutes, without calling a single timeout.
My team record is only like 2-8 right now.
And ALL 8 of those loses are a result of that ‘substitution cheese’... when the CPU forces you to take losses.
The only 2 wins we have is when I was able to stay on the court & not get subbed out early in the 4th quarter.
Right now, I come in the game & get most of my burn in the first half, and give the team a nice comfortable lead.... but then I gotta sit thru the whole 2nd half & watch the team fall apart. Without being able to get back in the game.
Is this a glitch?
Is this happening to anyone else?
Is this part of the storyline?
I don’t get it.
After coming back from behind & building up a good lead... I’m soooo tired of losing game after game... because I’m watching from the bench.
Is this happening to anyone else?
Or just me?
