jordan won every nba finals mvp and it wasn't even close to thinking otherwise that anybody else deserved it more on his championship teams so jordan legacy wouldn't have been questioned... as far as pip if he goes to the finals and wins, it places him more than juss a sidekick..most people say the only reason he got top 50 regards cause he was jordan teammate samething with the olympics..he'd finally got a lil more respect.. either way he still a champ he's a hall of famer
Good question-- Jordan's legacy would be diminished in a major way because the value around him would be much more evident.
I suspect he'd have tried to find another team, also. Blue & orange, most likely.
WOW this thread is 3 pages and 8 YEARS next week and this is how many people actually answered the question
the OP question:
My question is this...
IF Scotty and the Bulls would have went to at FINALS...
WIN OR LOSE...
How would have that changed not only the Pippen Legacy put the Jordan legacy?
And consequently the entire NBA?
Would the Bulls have STILL been so eager to trade him to Phoenix?
the 3rd speculative answer to the actual question in 8 years...
As tallblack said jordans legacy at that point was solidfied BUT if the bulls won a chip in his break years...and pippin was MVP??? well that would throw a monkey wrench in future GOAT talk.
Honestly if you play the scenario out then it would probably ruin the 2nd threepeat because now pippin doesnt have to play the sidekick anymore...he'd have more rings than jordan...hell the whole team would and they certainly wouldnt put up with his bullshit when he comes back. So maybe they get only 5 rings instead of six(??)
In any case whether they have 3 more or just one more after MJ's return...Pippin would always have one more ring on that same team. And any future discussions of whos the GOAT would HAVE TO INCLUDE HIM. Just for the rings alone. Its a big reason why no one talks about tim duncan in the GOAT convo...he has less rings than MJ same with Kobe...But Pippin would always have ONE MORE...
Which automatically bumps Lebron down the list in the future debates.
One big altered future would be theres no LAST DANCE documentary at least not one produced by jordan as he cant account for the year they won without him. Maybe its a 30 for 30 documentary but MJs participation would be minimal.
