I don't think Durant looks any differently than he did last year...he's just on a team where you're forced to defend him one on one... you can't play help defense like they could against him in OKC.. cleaner looks and he's the game's best pure offensive player. You take a 73 win team and then add a player that instantly becomes their best player and this is what you get.
He's playing way differently because of trust. Earlier in the year we lost a game to the Grizzlies we should have won. Why did we lose? Closing 5 minutes and such Durant went OKC. He went once he got the ball he didn't give it up he forced shots he didn't pick spots he tried to do it all by himself cause that's the way he was brought up coaching wise.
Fast forward to now he's making the right passes. he's giving the ball up knowing he'll get it back. that alone is a huge leap as to how he was taught to play by Brooks and Donovan.
It took him half the season to realize that he'd get the ball back if he gave it up and got to a better spot. That muscle memory was STRONG.
