NBA handchecking explained (Michael Jordan vs handchecking)

Same ole same ole. People always say their time was better. It is just a part of being nostalgic about the past, and the truth is that it wasn't all that great and I am referencing the NBA too.

"As far as Wilt, Kareem, and Michael Jordan there's NO DAMN WAY. HANDCHECKING MAKES A FUCKING DIFFERENCE. LIKE THE VIDEO AND SUBSCRIBE. SHIT!!!!!!"

he's 100% correct. i like lebron but there's no way he should be in any serious discussion about best ever or being better jordan at this point in his career. if he was as good as jordan then he should be averaging 30+ pts a night easily. jordan has 8 years of scoring 30+ pts a night. lebron only has 1 and it was 5 years ago.

lebron james is good. damn good. but he ain't jordan good.

LeBron thru 16 Finals games has attempted 99 free throws.
Jordan thru 16 Finals games attempted 132 free throws.

The groupies will tell you "hand checking" and "physical defenses" made it harder, what they wont tell you is the "ref preferential treatment" and the constant trips to the stripe helped make it easier. The league does not coddle today's superstars in that way. You actually can get physical with guys without worrying about them shooting 10-15 FT's a game. :cool:

Gary Payton - 'LeBron wouldn't be as good in our era'

the ending
:lol::lol::lol::lol:

That ending was hilarious!:lol::lol::lol:

Dude is dead on in his analysis. Dennis Rodman said today that it would be different for LeBron in the late 80's n 90's, he said LeBron would be average....:lol: I wouldn't go that far but it would be a lot tougher for him. I said it before and I will say it again, Jordan is the best basketball player ever, he would easily average 50pts a game in this era.

Damn Stan, why are you so mad? :lol:

I was gonna ask you guys the same thing. Should be thanking LeBron for keeping Jordan's name relevant and in a positive light. If it was left up to his basketball ownership and wardrobe he would be get clowned right now and seen for the old man he is.

Hand checking or not, Jordan was never good enough to drop a triple double in the Finals or lead his team in all 3 major statistical categories in the PLAYOFFS. Stop making excuses for this cat. :cool:

Jordan wasn't a facilitator, his job was to score, play defense and win. Judging by his stats he did his job.

yeah he juss lead them to 6 championships... but i forgot triple doubles with losses is better than dropping 30 and getting the win.. going to da finals and losing 67 percent of da time is better than winning it 100 percent of da time

No, dropping 63 points in double OT in a 1st round series sweep is more impressive.

Needing another HOF player on your team just to win a playoff series is more impressive.

Having shooters and rebounders all around you during your championship runs, and only having 2 playoff triple doubles in 179 contests is more impressive.

Bragging about averaging 20 points a game at 40 as proof you could still dominate the league but struggling as a "leader" to get the team you hand built in the playoffs is more impressive. :cool:

ur right juss like leading da league in nothing is impressive..juss like trying to be a poors man oscar robertson or magic but failing miserable cause they was averaging double/doubles and leading the league in certain stats is impressive..running to another team cause u knew dat u would neva win a championship carrying ur own squad is impressive... throwing urself to da floor when no ones around so dat the refs can help ur bitch ass take two easy shots at da line is impressive

Jordan cried and whined his way to the free throw line his whole career.

I seen Greg Anthony tossed from a PLAYOFF game just for giving Mike a hard foul, something you guys encourage guys to do to LeBron.

I seen Mike stay in a game after a fist fight wit Reggie Miller because the refs were too pussy to throw the "star of the show" out of the game. Bulls still lost anyway. LOL.

MJ wouldnt be MJ in today's NBA if the refs dont coddle him and protect him from defenders. And there will be no Craig Ehlo's or Danny Ainge's to post 60 point games against. He actually would face wings just as big if not bigger and just as athletic as he.

The 80's n 90's also avg more points per possession more free throw attempts and points in the paint. Espn did an article about this not to long ago.
