I see why Bickerstaff gets caught up. Drummond just shows flashes of what he can do if he had some damn sense. Damn if the coach can get him to play with more sense.

I'm still amazed that we got an entertaining team. This reminds me of a potential Brad/Daughtery/Williams/Nance cavs. But damn if Sexton ain't a more lethal scorer than anyone on that team was.

I wish Bickerstaff tell Drummond stop with the bullshit. Doing all that dribbling hurts the team.

I'm still amazed, how easy 20 points is for Sexton. Most players would be happy to get a couple of 20 point games in a season...He's doing this without jacking alot of threes..I think that kight changed next season though..With that said,he needs to work on ball pressure because the Lakers and Celtics got to him but I think he will figure it out though..

I want to see Windler get more opportunities, he had a great game tonight..The thing that surprised me about him during the preseason was his defense...I thought teams would take advantage of him but his defense is really good,on top of the rebounding skills he has..His basketball IQ is really high.

All,this team needs is a young pf that can shoot the ball.

I'm happy the Sixers got the win yesterday but that 4th quarter was still very telling. The Lakeshow seems to be the only team playing with a playoff level on/off switch right now. They got 14 straight and made it look easier. And we only won off a game winner. That wouldn't be sustainable in a seven game series.

Donovan Mitchell says he's 'honored' the Utah House of Representatives would pass a resolution for him
By Ryan Miller, KSL.com | Posted - Jan. 26, 2021 at 10:52 p.m.

SALT LAKE CITY — Donovan Mitchell didn't really know what to think when he heard the news. The Utah House of Representatives had passed a resolution in honor of him? Why? And what exactly did that mean?

When House Resolution 3 was introduced by Rep. Kera Birkeland, R-Morgan on Tuesday to recognize "the exemplary service of Donovan Mitchell to the Utah Jazz and the Utah community; and suggests consideration of making the 'Spida' (Mitchell's nickname) the official state arachnid" it caused some people to raise their eyebrows.

The resolution was drafted after Mitchell's now infamous postgame exchange with Shaquille O'Neal last week. It was a way of backing up the Jazz star.

"In Utah, we support our players when they face awkward abuse during postgame interviews disguised as pep talks," the resolution states while also getting in some jabs at O'Neal's free throw percentage and off the court ventures like movie "Kazaam" and the video game "Shaq Fu."

"I think it is appropriate for the great state of Utah to award Shaquille O'Neal with a technical foul," said Birkeland, sporting a ref jersey.

That little bit of detail was something Mitchell appreciated.

"That was pretty fun," Mitchell said.

Birkeland and her fellow representatives passed the resolution in a landslide 67-5 vote. No surprise that Utahns support one of their biggest stars.

The resolution, though, did face some opposition.

"Not only has he gotten into the head of Donovan Mitchell, but I'm sure everyone who votes yes on this, he would rent some space in your head, as well," House Majority Leader Francis Gibson, R-Mapleton, said about O'Neale. "But I do support our Jazz. I do support Donovan Mitchell."

Now, whether or not such a matter should have been brought to the house floor — House Speaker Brad Wilson even sported a Mitchell jersey for the discussion — is a whole other matter. But Birkeland and the other representatives voting yes, simply wanted to cast an official show of support for the All-Star.

And as Mitchell sat in his car reading about it and pondering about the unique show of support, he couldn't help but smile. Sure it was easy to laugh at, but it also was pretty moving.

"I looked at it in a different light," Mitchell said. "Growing up being a kid you always want to be that guy that's beloved and I really appreciate the support. I think it's special and it's an honor. It's kind of funny."

But he did have a question: "Is it like the state spider?" Mitchell asked. "I don't know how that works, to be honest with you. I was asking around, we don't really know."

It doesn't appear to be. The Utah State Legislature website states that resolutions "are considered an expression of the Legislature and are printed in the annual session laws (Laws of Utah) but are not codified."

So for now, it's just a way for the house to have expressed an opinion. The opinion that Mitchell is the best player — and spider — around.

"I'm just blessed that people think of me that way," Mitchell said. "I'm just honored."

Lies on 2... Kyrie actually gets to his spot the best out of the three and gets up the best quality shot at the moment.

Harden still is out of shape and refs aren't calling fouls on his drives like they used too.

KD is still getting acclimated to physically defense and has hit the floor already too much for my liken. His best shot is a hesi pull up.

KD should be the first option when he's fully recovered

Kyrie should be second because no one can stay in front of him

Harden should be the set up guy and go for his if nobody helps out.

IMO Kyrie at times tries to do to much. This was totally on display when they lost to the Cavs in overtime. There were multiple OT possessions where dribbling around and hoisting up a shot didn’t yield any points, especially when KD is on the floor. KD can score on anybody, plus Kyrie stayed getting burned by Sexton. Also I believe Harden is just being less aggressive with shot taking to get the rest of the team involved. The Nets are a very talented team, but they’re going to run into problems with some of the better defensive teams. Also teams with decent big men, Allen destroyed Jordan and Perry .,

When your bench is struggling, Harden is being super passive and you only have 10 players.. somebody has to shoot the ball.

Their have played four games together as a trio, you gotta get them time to gel. This team is far from complete. We still got 4 open roster spots left so when we add vets, we'll get a better since of who they are as a team. Only 19 games in and the only team with a true identity is the Lakers. Also, Allen destroyed Perry only. Him and DJ ain't see the floor together.

The shit with KD is he could get you thirty and it's the most dominate thirty you will ever see. It's like he suppresses his dominance to get everybody else involved so when you see guys going for there's, I feel likes it encouraged by KD because he knows he can always get his.

Did I just hear Chris Broussard say that Rodman was the only teammate that did something outside of Jordan..Then,try to discredit Pippen when he was in Portland and Houston...lol

At,the end say Jordan made his teammates...

I said it a couple seasons ago. Sexton will be alright because of his work ethic. That's all I kept hearing about him. How he is one of those first in/last out cats. Stays working on his game. It shows. He responds to coaching. Yeah, they say he single-minded, but he works on his craft. His outside shooting will only improve. His understanding of defenses, moving without the ball, etc.

Bitch ass love stays hurt. He can shoot, rebound, etc. But damn if that big bitch can't stay healthy. I want to see this squad with Love's bitch ass playing 20 games to gel.

I swear the Lakers are toying with people. Lebron been letting Montrezl & Morris have fun battling. But the second the Pistons looked like they wanted a lead, Bron took the ball up and dropped a 3 like nothing.

They have to be the early favorite.

Looks like Mr. Talc is on his way back.

As,for Sexton, the think I'm shocked about how well he shoots the threes. I thought it would take him maybe next season or the season after to get comfortable behind the three-point line. Teams can't sag against him because he will run by them quick..You can tell he's starting to get comfortable passing the ball since he has Allen on the team. Every since,we trade for Allen, Sexton's assist numbers has gone up.Before, everytime he gave the ball to Drummond, Nance and Cedi they would fuck it up badly.

The organization just need to make Sexton the face of the franchise since they're building the team around him..

If,he doesn't become an All-Star this season. I already know Sexton going to be motivated like he was in his rookie season for not being in the Rising Stars game that season.

This is the same guy that said the Cavs has a bad defense. I don't under, why he continues to have a job.

Rockets got a good win last night against the Blazers... that's 4 in a row now, and puts the team at 5-3 since the Harden trade...

WOW factor (Wall-Oladipo-Wood) each scored 20 or better... not quite a "big 3" but these guys look good on the court together... they have potential, just have to develop it now

Most important stat tho... Rockets have #2 defensive rating since the trade... and it's spurred by the top 3 players setting the tone defensively for everyone else to follow.

The Rockets have a bunch of guys with shit to prove:

Oladipo, Wall, Boogie, and Nwaba all coming back from major injuries,
Wall feeling like people forgot who he was,
Oladipo feeling like an outcast and people giving up on him,
Wood having to prove to the "casuals" that he's the real deal,
Boogie playing for a long term contract/commitment,
Harden taking a shit on the players on his way out...

there's plenty of bulletin board material there.

I need them niggas to develop and keep that Jordan, "and I took offense to that" mentality... because if they do come playoff time this team could scare the life out of everybody not named the LA Lakers

No but that foul Bron did on Embiid had a lot to do with it. He was hurting and couldn't get in the post. I agree with Embiid too had he did that shit to Lebron he would have been kicked out too. :smh:

Bro... Boogie Cousins got assessed a flagrant 1 just looking at that clip... :smh:

But on a serious note me and @Llano and other Rockets fans told you once Morey put his stamp on that team and build it the way it's supposed to be built y'all was gonna be dangerous... put shooters around Embiid and kick him in his fuckin throat if he not in the post, then kick everybody else in the throat if they don't give him the ball in the post...

Nets got their BIG 3 but DJ ain't stopping a motivated Embiid. They have to get someone else to help bolster their interior defense

I still think you should get Simmons outta there and trade him for some shooters (why is Buddy Heild wasting away in Sacramento??!?!) but still if y'all hold him they're still gonna be a problem in the 2nd season

I did NOT like that foul either..

but man you do not want compare foul highlight reels

they were KILLING Lebron for YEARS in the post.
Yeah Lebron do be getting killed... but that still don't excuse that shit he did to Embiid... like da walsh said if that was Lebron getting pushed like that whoever did it would have got ejected and suspended for a game or 2

That shit Trae Young doing now is aggravating :smh:

thats ALL I'm saying thy on Oscar worthy flopping

but ALSO punching dudes in the groin, tripping , when a shooter jumps putting their foot under, I aint saying this is Knicks Pistons in the 80s and 90s but the dirty play is THERE and what hurts Embid is the flopping and pre and post game sh*t talking.

We sure the hell can't lol. But can Philly stop a motivated Durant, Harden & Irving?

And we all sleeping on Boston but Jalen Brown looks unguardable right now. If Kemba's healthy come playoff time, you know their going be there.
