sidebar... would they reboot Die Hard?
Would the fan base act crazy like for Black Panther debating it?
Wouldn't it be CHEAPER to just recast?
Would it be cheaper to recast?
Today, yes hands down.
10-15 yrs from now......?
Nah. Just think you'd basically pay someone to be a stunt double/ stand in.
You wouldn't hear them say any lines, you wouldn't see their face...... so for a young actor or stuntman just trying to get into the business ......it's a good look.
That Fast and Furious 7, Benjamin Button and Gemini Man CGI was groundbreaking. But severely labor intensive because they had to go frame by frame manually.
A.I. models now can generate 1080p video upto 10 minutes long, complete A.I. everything, backgrounds, actors, lines, accurate physics....
Can you imagine how easy it'll be if all you have to do is have an actor wearing a green mask and just train the AI to CGI that one face automatically? They already have A.I. voice tuners, word to Beanie Siegel......
Instead of $200 mil budgets, you're lead actor is getting paid scale, you're paying NIL of what $5 - $10 mil to Bruce's/ whoevers estate.......
And you're CGI / production budget is significantly cheaper because studios won't need 50 people teams to go frame by frame.
Terminator 9 with a mid 30s Arnold vs Van Damme or Stallone?!
Bruh, I can see it on the horizon...... shit will be wild AF because the studios already milk franchises for every last drop..... imagine if you can keep Will Smith pumping out a Bad Boys, Men in Black, Independence Day, Hancock, Irobot movie every/ every other year?
Or like Directors / studios putting out A.I. actor variants...... Vin Diesel or Arnold Schwarzenegger as Hulk?!
With A.I. those costs could be in the low 9 figures, with NIL..... Do direct to streamer agreements..... or limited theatrical runs then sell to streamers.....very low risk if the demand / hype is there.
