New Board Rule - Regarding use of word tether

The point that continues to get missed is this.
- None of us want to use the term "tether" or any other jokes that denigrate African or Carribean people.
But what is the point of banning the word "tether" when any of these trolls will just replace that word with one of Tariq Nasheed's A.I. generated anti-African/Carribean pictures?
Or one of his offensive comics?
Or one of his offensive songs?
All of a sudden mods are banning everything and BGOL gets turned into an egg-shell environment and for a forum that is not getting younger, that is a recipe for failure.
Let the forum police itself, when people find themselves getting ignored or on many people's blocked lists then they'll stop.
Don't feed the trolls and implement two-way ignore.
When trolls realize that not only they've been ignored but can no longer see that person's posts and threads, then behavior on BGOL will fix it self in a matter of days!

For example, today is Tuesday, and here's a troll using xenophobic terms, posting hateful shit, or is just a general pain in the ass.
Tomorrow that troll wakes up and logs into BGOL and realizes that he can't see certain member's posts or certain member's threads.
He can't see Slam's themed threads or Playahaitian's Crush thread or G's Spotlight threads, he can't see Fonz's shit, all of a sudden this trolls BGOL experience is seriously gimped.
You'll have more examples of niggas begging to get taken off of blocked lists than niggas using xenophobic terms.

So trolling can continue as long as you can't see it and it can't see you? How about just getting rid of the troll?
You missed the point about "two-way ignore"
With the current ignore system we have now, if I block "so and so", I can no longer see them but they can still see me.
With "two way ignore" If I block "so and so", I can no longer see them and they can no longer see me
When has BGOL ever gotten rid of trolls?
Bald bear, MIT_Dropout are 2 that came to mind.
But we still have other lightweight trolls who know how to skirt the line and pump the brakes before the ban hammer comes down but they are still just as annoying.
Bullet is an example of this.
I think when donations aka money is involved it makes it tougher. I don't believe bgol will lose members if it tightened up on the trolling. I think it would gain members.
As I said before the last time it was mentioned. The only thing I don't like about two-way ignore features is that it'll allow the cowards to talk shit without repercussions.

The word tether isn't banned, just like the word monkey isn't banned, but a ban is possible for using either to refer to BGOL members.
