Drake, "God's Plan"
On Friday (Feb. 16),
Drake delivered his highly anticipated "God's Plan" video, taking the nearly million-dollar budget and giving it all back to people in need in Miami. Drizzy documented his numerous philanthropic efforts, which ranged from people of various ages and backgrounds.
Drake's clever video inspiration and life-changing generosity is going to be tough for any artist to top.
Here's everything you need to know about the monumental visual for the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 song:
Drake calls the "God's Plan" video "the most important thing I have ever done in my career"
The day before the video was released,
Drake posted a photo of the project's clapboard that read, "God's Plan." His caption set sky-high expectations for the video, calling it "The most important thing I have ever done in my career."
The video is directed by Karena Evans
Karena Evans is a multi-faceted actress and director. She got her start interning under
Director X, who executive produced the "God's Plan" video. The visionary creative is well on her way to becoming one of the most sought-after producers in music, and "God's Plan" is just another notch on her bedazzled belt. The talented artist stars as Heather in the Canadian comedy-drama
Mary Kills People.
Karena gained fame by collaborating with Belly for his bone-chilling video for "Mumble Rap." The raw visual is reminiscent of something straight out of
The Purge. Evans teamed up with the Xo artist once again on the video for his fashion-forward "The Come Down Is Real Too." Her developing résumé and ability to perform in any arena of creativity, whether it's acting or directing anything from music videos to commercials, has given her the nickname "First Lady of Popp Rok."

The grocery store where Drake gives back is the Sabor Tropical Super Market in Miami
Food shopping is a taxing bill within every household, so
Drake decided to pop into the Sabor Tropical Super Market in the Miami area and announce that he would be paying for every customer's groceries. "Everything you guys want inside the store is free," Drizzy boomed over the market's loudspeaker.

That is Pittsburgh Steelers superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown dancing with Drake inside a mall
The
Miami Herald published a story last year detailing the exhausting commute of Fontainebleau Hotel housekeeper Odelie Paret. Someone must have notified the "Diplomatic Immunity" artist of the inspirational story, as he
gifted the 63-year-old with a spa day, steak dinner and shopping spree at a local mall earlier this month(Feb. 7). The Haitian mother-of-five racked up a $10,000 tab from purchases of multiple fragrances, shoes and a handbag. The Pittsburgh Steelers star wide receiver joined
Drake on the good deed and even made an appearance dancing around in the "God's Plan" video at a closed mall.
