New Season of Black Mirror Tonight

The first episode was outstanding. The first issue Amanda got into was predictable but the Espresso Grande / Honey Nugs shit was genius. And it absolutely could happen. This is an exaggerated depiction of what health care is now and what we are on pace for if we allow it to continue to be privatized.

Strong anticapitalist message, the type of shit people need to see and understand.

Looking forward to watching the rest of the season.

First episode mirrors Elon's Neuralink, he's diabolical enough to pull the fuckery depicted in the episode.


Neuralink is a neurotechnology company founded by Elon Musk that is developing brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) to help people with neurological conditions, such as paralysis, and potentially enhance cognitive abilities. The company's initial focus is on restoring autonomy to individuals with quadriplegia by enabling them to control external devices with their thoughts. Neuralink also aims to eventually treat neurological disorders and restore motor, sensory, and visual functions.
 
The second episode was another non-traditional Black Mirror that is not what I’m looking for from the show. A mildly entertaining waste of an hour.

My main problem is that
if the technology is not remotely realistically possible, it’s a different type of sci-fi
. This sort of episode undermines the Black Mirror brand IMO.

Finally, Black Mirror has returned to its roots. Episodes one and two were quite good. While I didn’t particularly enjoy episode three, I liked the concept of a high-tech remake of a vintage film and playing those characters digitally. Episode four was very interesting and intriguing, and episode five, the eulogy, was very good. It was able to achieve what episode three couldn’t do: instead of going back in movies, it introduced a groundbreaking system that allows its users to literally step inside old photographs and relive the moment and its emotions, which I really enjoyed. By far, episode six was the absolute best. They continued off from season four, the USS Callister.
