For me, I'm just a fan of the coziness of the setup.. It's not competing with the modern, clean, slick setups in this thread..

Agreed. Too many modern set-ups are too sterile / organized. I don't mind the cozy set-ups, so long as they're in order.
My pops has an interesting media room. When you walk in directly behind the leather sofa he's got his crates of records (gave a bunch of them away to my cousin a year or two back). To the right is the PC and IPad. On the far right wall he's got an upper shelf wall-to-wall near the ceiling which has his CDs. The far left wall behind the TV is DVDs. TV is a 55" Samsung with soundbar. To the right of the sofa when sitting he has more DVDs.
I've had him donate and give away a number of DVDs over the years and saved stuff for him to flashdrives, etc. Stuff that wasn't collectors' worthy.
