My dad's gf bought him this gaming chair as one of his Christmas gifts. He's not a gamer, but it's a comfortable one & good addition to his home office and desktop set-up.

She's a keeper. Bought him an IPad for his birthday gift back in the first quarter of 2020. Talked to her yesterday, and she noted she was buying him a 27" monitor for his birthday next year. Asked me what I thought, and I co-signed the choice. She gave the go-ahead to her son who was making some online Boxing Day purchases at the time.

That sounds like a pretty good girlfriend!

That chair looks comfy, I love the headrest, especially since I fall asleep at my desk a lot and I wake with horrible neck pain, that price is pretty nice also. I'll have to bookmark that.

Yeah - she's good people. Much better than the previous gf who was a difficult person through good times and bad.

Yes - had a chance to sit in one of the chairs before. Good headrest and nice lumbar support for the back.

I made up a flashdrive for pops & put 50+ cds worth of content on it as one of his gifts. Good assortment of stuff for longer drives and roadtrips when the world returns to some form of normalcy in the future.

That sounds, good job on getting that flash drive together for pops.

I'm guessing he has one of those digital players in his car, I just had one put in my mom's car and we've had to rip her music to flash drives.

Props on hooking your mom's car up!

Yeah - he's a funny old schooler. Got his first DVR about 3 years ago. First computer in 2008. Still types with 1 finger. Got some newer vehicles in recent years, but was pissed off they did NOT have tape decks. One has a CD player, the other doesn't. Both have the ports, etc. He's liked when I've done up TV & movies flashdrives for him, and asked previously if I could do one for the car's music. Gave him the gifts and he looked over the list. Initially thought it was a CD mixtape of sorts (just songs). Then realized it was full cds ... started laughing. Asked - "How many songs does that definitive collection have on it?" I was like - "30 or 40 ..." - started laughing again.

It'll be good to get on the road again. Got a roadtrip to some relatives which we usually do every year - it's about 10 hours roundtrip. Lots of music for that trip sometime in 2021 or 2022.

Sounds great, glad yall were able to acclimatize him to the new technology, it's a bit of a pain sometimes getting the old-schoolers into the new stuff but when they get it, they really enjoy the ease of use.

And I agree about those road trips, it'll be good to get out and such hopefully sooner than later with plenty of music on hand.

Agreed. It's all about that patience and building confidence with the older generation.

Set up a folder for my dad with all the cleaner programs ... driver updaters, anti-spyware, malware shit ... so he can keep the desktop running smoothly.

He loves the versatility of the IPad.

Gotta give my mom and a few aunts credit. They aren't the most tech-savvy, but have always stayed up on the newer stuff like Ipods, IPads, laptops and Macbooks, etc. Staying as current as possible so as not to fall behind.

Yes - roadtrips are always great. All that open road with minimal stops is great for the car. Good music makes it even better. Did a Cali roadtrip with my brother back in 2010. About 18 - 20 hours each way. Had a shitload of CDs in the car. Shoutout to @BIGGSARGE - he posted up a 3-cd collection of older music last year. Approx' 70 - 75 songs. Dad loved that mix in early-December of last year.
