Just a quick random thought.
The PS4 is very much alive and relevant.
I'm old enough to remember when new consoles instantly rendered the previous generation old and obsolete
But the PS4 and Xbox One are still going strong. I know this is due to the pandemic and scarcity but it also seems there are plenty of people who are holding off for other reasons.

This is my "Blue Room". Its where I listen to jazz and play the occasional X-Box game. Nothing fancy just a place to store my record collection and listen to some Hi-Fi music. There's 2 lounge chairs in here, a Marantz M-CR611 micro system with JBL fronts and dual Bose cube rears. The room itself is a bonus room in my apartment. Too small for a bedroom and too big for a closet. I also have a custom micro computer and a mac mini with a sony soundbar. I use that Samsung TV as a monitor. I'll post up my main computer setup when I clean up the other room later.
There are a lot of games...I missed out and I plan to catch up.
Man once they have enough PS5s out there they will stop making games for the PS4. Coding for both generations is not going to be profitable moving forward.
Yeah they are going to try to delay PS5 and XBOX series X games until more people have systems to make things profitable.
