Forget traveled, I was in the military and even there, learned how to opt out of certian vaccinations. Small pox being the most questionable was one I wasn't going to chance myself with. Anthrax required 6 shots... I mean seriously...I haven't felt sick going on 3 years now. No colds, no sinus irritation, no bad allergy seasons. I had been reading Janes and a few other intel reports on Iraq when i went over. Their "Bio-chemical" weapons threat was highly inflated and exaggerated...at least the CNN story.

I didn't get the flu shot when the first outbreak was happening years back. They kept pushing that damn vaccine but I heard of people getting sick then. I've never taken any of it and have never caught the flu. Some people need to learn how to eat to enhance their immune system instead of praying on a shot.

Didnt go to medical school but i know alot of clueless arrogant fucks with inflated egos that did. I also know that much of want ail's the general population can be addressed through preventative measures such as a balanced and healthy diet and lifestyle. I havent had the flu in my adulthood and cant tell you the last time i've had the common cold, any virus or infection.

Well Truth, I think that is somewhat of the point he's trying to make. Viruses and bacteria are our only windows into seeing how evolution on a micron scale will work. They mutate and evolve to gain resistance to the shit we keep throwing at them.

We are basically running in place with this shit...it's called the Red Queen Hypothesis. Look it up to get a clearer view of what I mean.

We are constantly trying to out run pathogens so we don't get sick. Injecting yourself with a dead or live modified version of the virus is somewhat doing the same thing as taking supplements, eating healthy and exercising to boost your immunity.

Which one has the least risk and hassle is the more valued question in my opinion...

Everyone wants to believe that a pill, a shot or a syrup will suddenly make things go away. Your body has a very effective way of fighting infections. Just like anything else, I learn how the machine works and keep it in balance.

Edit: this isn't to say that I have a defense against all the ails of the world. The hysteria around mass vaccinations and infections seems to be cyclical. Sounds stubborn, but I'll take my chances with a few of these superbugs. The flesh eating virus was supposedly found on pay phones back in the 90s, but as many people you know used pay phones then, how many did you know got their ear chomped off.

The western world helps create superbugs because of our hyper sanitization efforts. What is the use of using and anti-bacterial soap each and every time you go into the bathroom when normal soap made from vegetable glycerins can do the same thing?
