I just don't trust that swine flu vaccine. I just don't feel good about the chemicals that are in there. Besides, for all that is hyped, the few that did get it I knew said it was like having the regular flu and only lasted 2-3 days. Now I did get the yearly shot because last year I got the flu and as down for a week.:( First time I had it in my adult life too.

Because fear is a powerful tool. Also, everyone wants a magic pill or shot to cure all of life's worries. Why maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle when you can go get a shot and eat like shit for the rest of your life.

Everyone wants to believe that a pill, a shot or a syrup will suddenly make things go away. Your body has a very effective way of fighting infections. Just like anything else, I learn how the machine works and keep it in balance.

Edit: this isn't to say that I have a defense against all the ails of the world. The hysteria around mass vaccinations and infections seems to be cyclical. Sounds stubborn, but I'll take my chances with a few of these superbugs. The flesh eating virus was supposedly found on pay phones back in the 90s, but as many people you know used pay phones then, how many did you know got their ear chomped off.

The western world helps create superbugs because of our hyper sanitization efforts. What is the use of using and anti-bacterial soap each and every time you go into the bathroom when normal soap made from vegetable glycerins can do the same thing? Any Anti-bacterial also disturbs the balance of good/bad bacteria that helps out immune systems.

the hospitals are where most if not all of these superbugs are commin from
i dont see truth speakin on that
and all that anti-bacterial crap just makes the bacteria stronger

Wrong, many viruses today are mutated forms of what once was, new superbugs brought on by the over population. It's not about eating well etc. It's about preventing disease from unnatural virus's. What medical school did you go to because a lot of you seem to think you know more than Physicians.

u wish that were true
superbugs arent poppin up all over the place in densely populated places all over the world
they're growing in hospitals
the problems more of an institutional thing an not the doctors or nurses but its still there

and since u know so much explain this
It normally takes 4-6 months to develop a vaccine
another 6-12 months to test the vaccine
and an additional 3-5 months to produce and distribute said vaccine
so how is this vaccine supposed to solve anything if the virus has already mutated countless times and is essentially a new virus?

That bullshit the military feeds you does hurt like a bitch. But ion those countries they insist you need a shot in don't require one. Just the basics you receive as an infant.

Smallpox and Polio we vaccinated our way out of danger until no one was getting it anymore. With no one to get sick, there's no one to infect others.

Vaccine's aren't a CURE, they're a preventative measure. We've never cured a virus, but we have successfully prevented people from getting them...which is why I can't understand why so little money has been thrown at an HIV vaccine. We're already on it for HPV...but I digress.

I had to get vaccinated when I went to Ghana & S. Africa...and I wasn't going on no damn safari.
