Ariza played well for Houston last year. They took a step back losing him and offering Paul a small fortune. I dont expect them to be as good next year.
Hes very replaceable. His absence wont be a factor in next years postseason success.

They tried to get him LAST SEASON so how does that make the Lakers desperate?
Was he in a motorized scooter last year muthafucka?? They desperate because they went in to free agency thinking PG was a lock with Lebron and the newly available Kawhi close to locks. Now they are the first cats (and probably the only cats) beating down a hobbled Boogie Couins door and entertaining maxing him out. Thats desperation holmes.

With who....

Just let Lebron come and and roll with

Ball
Ingram
Lebron
Kyle
?????(rookie from MSU)

As the starting 5

People neglect the fact that WITHOUT a superstar and babies the Lakers were in a lot of games. All they need is that consistent 25 pt scorer who can close and they'll be a dangerous team. Magic just needs to be DISCIPLINED

No. You're being the dumbass comparing their pursuit of him today to them expressing an interest in him LAST SEASON you fucking moron. Last season he wasnt a 300lb big rehabbing a shredded achilles.

Wrong again. I'm saying he has ALWAYS been on Magic's radar regardless! What YOU want to do is bask in the fact that Paul George didn't sign so now everyone they go after in the FA market now makes it look like they are DESPERATE.

Wow. Still surprised PG signed a 4 year deal with OKC and CP3 got 40 mil a year from Houston...sheesh. They gonna miss Trevor Ariza. With Paul George staying in OKC.... there is no point for LeBron to go to the Laker's except maybe Hollywood reasons. He'll just be the star act carrying another so so squad ...I'm just not sold on Kawhi...after this ordeal ...everytime I hear dude's name I think of Derrick Rose's situation.

Are you retarded or just pretending to be?

There is no need to bask in the PG signing. I even admitted i would have lost a bet on it. Stating that Magic not even getting the guy in for a meet and now focusing on signing a 300lb guy in a walking boot is a sign of desperation isnt controversial. Its factual. The Pelicans are praying someone is stupid enough to offer Boogie a max deal to save them from having to re-sign him.

Cant believe PG took that deal in OKC. GS is still the fav out the west for 1-2 years. But if winning a title is his top priority, it makes sense to stay in OKC. Imho, he comes closer in OKC than in LA. We can talk about how the Lakers improved, but they aint close to winning a title anytime soon. Lets keep it 100! Even with a 30ppg scorer, theyd still be the below the top 5 in the west. Lakers fans just need to get ready for a drought. As for PG, when u consider taxes and contract options, his biggest payday wouldve been with the Pacers. We dont know if PG wouldve been the face of the Lakers franchise because we dont know who else is gonna sign with them. That big market shit kinda wears thin if u gotta share the spotlight.. In 3 years, im sure PG will cash in on another big payday.

Chris Paul....worth 40 Mill if he can stay healthy WHEN IT COUNTS; He hasnt been able to do that in 3+ years. His injuries + his age makes his contract seem silly.

Derrick, just happy that my boy is still getting NBA checks. Folks talked about him retiring years ago. The fact that he's still serviceable in the NBA after all those injuries is incredible. GL to him!

Get ready for see LBJ resign with the Cavs; something I honestly thought he was gonna way before he opted out.

Wilson Chandler, Courtney Lee, Kent Bazemore Available In Trade Talks

Wilson Chandler, Courtney Lee and Kent Bazemore are three players who are available in trade talks this offseason.

The Denver Nuggets are attempting to cut salary to reduce their tax bill and Chandler is on an expiring contract.

Lee is a trade candidate as the New York Knicks also have Tim Hardaway Jr. at shooting guard and drafted Kevin Knox at small forward.

The Atlanta Hawks are on a multi-year rebuild and they've been trying to unload Bazemore.

Ingram, Kuzma, can score without being setup. I wanted PG over LeBron. George would have fit in made us a playoff team and we could've kept our core young guys. Lebron really should just stay in Cleveland one more year. But I'm sure he knew what George was doing before hand.

I could do without Bron. I don't wanna throw away our young core on Kwhai if he's damaged goods. If we get Bron then they gotta work something out for Lillard. Ball & Kuzma for Lillard. Bron, Lillard, & Ingram. Maybe lure Capella or resign Randle and go after Towns in 19.

Damn at first this was confusing

Yeah, I agree with this. They're desperate enough to try and get Lebron they are willing to get Boogie.

I don't like it at all unless it's a one or two year deal.

Shit I ain't mad at Paul George for that....Actually think that's was the better option....they probably felt they could have a better chemistry afternoon another offseason and Robertson being healthy

Morey has to find a solid replacement for Ariza. He was a perfect fit for the Rockets style.
Ariza's production was lacking. His defense was suspect this year too. Rockets don't need him.

It's not

He's not winning with them

and he could have gotten more money from them and a better deal

People are shocked at his deal. His agent failed him.

So you're not winning or getting the deal you could have.

Miami is a small market? LOL ok.

Not missing 11 points a game and 37% from three and your second best defender

The rockets need him. His defense was fine. He allowed them to play their switching their defense.

Their was definitely a difference in KD with him guarding him.

Plus he gave them another option shooting threes.

Ariza's production was on par with Donte Cunningham or Evan Turner. Out there 35+ minutes with little stats (offense & defense) to show for it. All expendable.

Ball and LeBron will never play together unless it's an All Star game. Good creative thinking though.
This still leaves you with 10 Million in Cap space
Plus mid level exceptions
Trade Ball/Hart for Kemba Walker

Lebron is bringing D Wade and Melo out to L.A.
Walker +3.5 Mill Trade Ball/Hart for Kemba
Ingram 6.0 Mill
James 35.5 Mill
Carmelo traded for Kuzma/Luol Deng + 5.0 Mill
Cousins offer 20 Million
Bench:
Randle 12-15 Million
DWade - scraps that are left
Jeff Green

With Houston that's not what is needed. He's a 6'8 player who can switch to guard four positions.

Houston wasn't a good defensive team because of Harden, it was because of people like Tucker and Ariza that can guard multiple positions.

all them dudes can score and are getting better.u know lbj gonna throw all that out of whack. lebron great a player as he is just dominates a team to where everytime he goes to a team to somehow they become so so teams. i got a homeboy who's a big lebron fan that i laugh at .at some point in time all of lebron's teammates become a bunch of scrubs to him. i tell him lebron recruited all those scrubs lol. lebron knows he got another gm who's fin to listen to him for a few more years...lol. he'll be back in cleveland in magic tells him no...lol

That's what I felt was they're best feature against the dubs,

We can guard you and also score with you...

Htown wasn't scared of the Dubs at all...
