He was the anonymous player who was talkin shit?

They said there were three players. I wouldn't be surprised,if two of them were him and Brandon Knight...In,Knight's case he's not thrilled that he haven't been playing much, according to this article the day before this incident.

That doesn't even make sense. Does the league punish it? How does purposely tanking ensure not getting the #1 pick or make it less likely?

Answer: It doesn't. You can hope they don't get the first pick but no need to make up dumb shit in an attempt to translate your wishes into actual points.
You're taking things way too far.

They evened the draft odds dumbass. The worst team doesnt get as many lottery balls as they once did. Thats how the 33 win Pelicans got the #1 pick last year. You Dubs bandwagoners tryna convince us future #1 pick, Melo Ball is your "savior"

And Giannis cant opt out of Milwaukee until summer 2021. Bucks intend to offer him the Supermax this offseason. He'd have to turn that down and take a paycut and either force a trade or wait it out a year to play "sidekick" to Steph and Klay. Steph will be 34 then, Klay will be 31. Why would Giannis leave the best team in the NBA to play with old washed up shooters?

Stop running from the inevitable guys. The league went thru great pains to create a new team of anti LeBrons for yall to root for. Time to let the past go and embrace them. I cant wait to see Spida pulling for Pat Bev and the Clippers in the playoffs once "his" Rockets get knocked off. You already said youre pulling for the Clips since your light skin crush wit the hazel eyes wont be there.

Oh ok. It was one of three huh? Sixers broadcasters were talking about how fucked up it was for the players to do that too. Said if you feel so strongly about it put your name on the quote or don't say anything. I wouldn't be surprised if Love was one of the three. He played like a straight up bitch too. :smh:

Uuuhhhhhhhhmmm no.

When the Rockets get knocked off Spyda will be watching the games as a fan of NBA basketball. I have no rooting interest or hate towards another team or particular player as you continue to falsely insinuate.

And that tweet has to be the some of the dumbest shit I've read so seeing you copy and agree with it doesn't surprise me at all. You could insert any player name in place of Steph's name and it rings true:

"Take away AD, Kuz, Green, a deep bench and the Lakers and Lebron suck again..."

"Take away Bledsoe, Lopez, Middleton, a deep bench and the Bucks and Giannis suck again..."

"Take away Leonard, George, Lou Will, a deep bench and the Clippers suck again..."

"Take away Westbrook, Capela, Gordon, a deep bench and the Rockets and Harden suck again..."

See how that works? This applies to EVERY team. I can go on but I think if I continue I'll get sucked down that rabbit hole of arguing with a simpleton again and I'm not going that route today.

It's Sunday, I don't have to work, a beautiful day in the H, my kids are here, I got my health... we gonna hit the park, maybe discovery green, go to the Trey and get those vegan/gluten free desserts from Crumbville, and enjoy this weather.

I hope we trade Love and get something because at this point he done checked out....He's not even trying yet want to call out the coach publicly last week.... :smh:

Tristan wasnt so thrilled after the Magic game about the report. He basically said they should put their name on it.And,Nance came out supporting Beilin after yesterday's game. I don't understand, why a player would do that to a rookie head coach, especially when he has changed to fit the players strengths.

Beilein seems like a coach that will listen to players and adjust to their needs but still implement his system in some way. He already adjusted his system but I guess it hasn't worked yet.

I will say this though,Beilein needs to stop playing Dellvadova and play McKinnie or Knight more because watching Dellvadova bricking mansions every night is horrible to see. He made his first three in forty-something attempts on Friday and wants to act like he's Steph Curry..

I know one thing though, the Cavs better draft a center because we're getting killed in the paint.

Slightly above average players average 19 points and shoot 40%+ from three? Much less it being his second year.

You dudes need to stop quoting random no name nobodies

After bizarre loss, Wolves reset vs. red-hot Lakers
The Minnesota Timberwolves had played well on the road until they suffered a disastrous finish at Oklahoma City on Friday.

Minnesota will face a challenge regrouping when they visit the red-hot Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

The Wolves dropped a 139-127 overtime decision to the Thunder when a series of mistakes cost them the game.

"I ain't never been a part of something like that," said Wolves center Karl-Anthony Towns, who had 30 points on 11-of-16 shooting with eight assists.

Towns was at the free-throw line with 1.1 seconds remaining with Minnesota clinging to a 121-119 lead. Towns missed the first free throw before Jordan Bell checked in and was called for delay of game for having his jersey untucked. That resulted in a technical foul.

Oklahoma City's Danilo Gallinari made a free throw to slice the deficit to one, but Towns converted his second free throw for a two-point Minnesota advantage.

However, Thunder center Steven Adamsthrew a full-court pass to Dennis Schroder, who hit a buzzer-beating layup to force overtime.

The Wolves, who fell for the third straight game, were outscored 17-5 in the extra session.

Jeff Teague had 32 points and nine assists for the Wolves, who are 7-4 on the road.

"I've been playing basketball for a long time, and I've never seen that before," said Minnesota guard Josh Okogie, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The Lakers are on one of their best runs in a long time. They capped a three-game swing with a 136-113 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday for their 11th consecutive road win. It's the third best run in franchise history and the longest streak since the 1972-73 Lakers won 12 in a row. The club record is 16 straight road wins by the 1971-72 Lakers.

The Lakers, who were tied with the Milwaukee Bucks for the best record in the NBA at 20-3 entering Saturday's games, are 9-2 at home. The Lakers have won three in a row and 13 of their last 14 contests. A 114-100 defeat at home by the Dallas Mavericks is the lone loss during that stretch.

On Friday, Anthony Davis had 39 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, while LeBron James finished with 31 points, eight assists and seven boards for the Lakers. Kyle Kuzmaadded 15 points off the bench for Los Angeles, which shot 54.1 percent from the floor and converted 17 of 36 3-pointers (47.2 percent) against Portland.

"Our offense is starting to catch up with our defense a little bit," said James, according to the Los Angeles Times. The Lakers ranked first in the league in field goal percentage at 48.5 percent. Los Angeles also was among the top defensive clubs, leading the NBA in blocks at 7.4 and fourth in points allowed at 103.7 per game through Friday.

"We knew at some point that the cohesiveness and the rhythm would start to get better and better," James added. "It's been behind our defense for the majority of the season. Tonight it caught up with our defense, and it gave us a good boost closing out the road trip."

The contest against the Lakers will be the first of back-to-back games for the Wolves. They visit the Phoenix Suns on Monday.

This is why the draft system is unfair

AD wasted too many years on a shitty team
You want to do away with the draft to keep players from going to shitty teams,

While that might work, one of the side effects is that it's going to keep players from going to any small market teams.

And you're going to create an even more top-heavy league.

Yeah, some franchises are just happy going to the playoffs and getting fans to come.

While that might be true for some franchises

If you are a GM of a small-market team that has drafted a generational talent (AD, Greek Freak) how do you convince big time free agents to come to your team?

Was Del Demps ever going to convince Lebron to come to New Orleans to play with AD? (the very thought of that probably is making you laugh)

Any big-time, game-changing free agents trying to sign with Milwaukee?

(ETA) not making excuses for running a shitty franchise but talent or lack of it is more often the issue.
