They are paid a lot of bread. There is no incentive to compete at the all star game. Everyone got endorsements, and they all making over $100 million or more except some of the reserves.

What’s the point of it? They are entitled because that’s what the league created. I wouldn’t take shit seriously either if I was on a $150 million contract. Fan would definitely be watching me bullshitting out there.

Players back in the day had incentives to play harder and they were making a faction of what these players are making today. So the bonus money was cool to them and you get braggin rights.

The all star game is wack.

Every business has to have a measure of respect for it's clientele.

The players shouldn't need an incentive for just this specific game. The players should do it out of respect for basketball fans all over the world tuning in to watch them play. That responsibility is not too much to ask.

I'm not saying go all out. Fans aren't dumb either, they understand the situation. But layup lines???

All summer we see videos of their pickup ball in NY and LA. Guys ain't going all out but they putting work in. No one's at risk of getting hurt.

Thats all we are asking.

Either that or give me some highlights, dunk contest, alleys bomb threes whatever. But dude...

I agree, but they are making so much money. Why should they? Where is the motivation?

Respect for fans? These kats load manage whenever they want. They don’t give a shit about what the fans think. They claim they do, but they really don’t.

Incentives are a part of jobs and employees get rewarded based on performances. It adds to some motivation. But there is nothing the NBA can offer these guys. They do whatever they want, whenever they want. And they don’t have to give a shit about us either because people will pay to see them play regardless. Folks will complain, whine, some kids with front row seats will crocs tears about how they spent all their money want to see their favorite star that didn’t play because of back to back games.

NBA players don’t care what fans think. At least not in the way they probably should.

and we have a new generation, basketball is the most popular sport with young kids. They're going to blow it if they keep it up.

They already don't do whole games, and they're going to make sure they don't want to watch them.

I think it's because young kids are so far removed now from being average at such a young age. These kids are separated and deemed special in the 7th and 8th grade.

The Ja Morant's might be different because he wasn't highly rated, went to Murray State.

Maybe I was too young and didn't pay attention to the WNBA that much(both) but yeah I didn't know that:lol: Shorty won 3 rings. I do remember her though.

Yeah I remember her too fam.

I'm not gonna lie, it's not like I watched a lot of wnba games or interviews, but damn I don't remember the media making a deal of who her dad was.

I just went down this whole rabbit hole. Learned a lot. Never knew Cheryl Ford was his daughter either.
Huh... I thought that was just a rumor or was exaggerated.
Wait what???

I knew about it but found out late like most people. When I say late I mean 20 or so years ago.

The media didn't speak about it and they really only spoke about it when kids were about to be drafted.

Just like this past weekend , other than Bomani I didn't hear the media speak about it.

And he was part of the All-Star festivities getting praised.

He also lied about being the dad until the paternity test came back. He quietly paid money but didn't acknowledge the kids to my knowledge.

He's a real piece of shit.

Don't they get bonuses related to making the all star game?

Your 1000% right. With the crop of young talent to come shit is only going to get worse before it gets better.
