oh dude...I am SO DONE with Glenn Rivers Experiment (the only Doc I recognize and associate with the NBA and the Sixers is Julius Erving) Outside of the sixers winning a chip in this run...regardless of whether they beat boston...this needs to be Rivers last year here! These stats were in January:

What does that tell you?? Rivers seems to be a more dynamic coach when he doesn't rely on his "big guns". He actually USES his bench more effectively and they respond to the call. Game 1 wasn't a fluke... its whats been happening all year! And when Embiid comes back Rivers reverts back to his conventional ways and while its great for Joel's numbers it works against the team ultimately because his bench players and 2nd unit all resort to Embiid and Harden when their on the floor.

The big observation everyone had about the last two games is players were HESISTANT when they were open. So and so was wide open and DIDN'T take the shot. X was open and looked around before doing anything. Why? Because the directive is when Embiid or Harden are on the floor they are the FIRST OPTION no matter what! So even when players are wide open theyre checking to see where Joel is before they DO ANYTHING!

And all this has done was pad Embiid's stats, along with a sympathy campaign, so that he could win an INDIVIDUAL award he so desperately wanted. So he's finally got his MVP trophy but look at the cost to the TEAM. All this falls on the coach and the front office. Embiid is the face of the team and theyre more invested in promoting that rather than winning a championship.

:smh: :smh: :smh:
